Saudia is the flag carrier airline of Saudi Arabia, based in Jeddah. Der Sauerland-Tourismus als touristischer Dachverband hat seine Arbeit 2004 aufgenommen. Als Lebensraummanagement-Organisation wirbt er für die Region als Urlaubs-, Freizeit- und Lebensraum, engagiert sich in der Tourismuspolitik, leistet Lobbyarbeit und unterstützt die heimische Tourismuswirtschaft mit zielgerichteten Projekten. Zum Verband und damit zum touristischen Sauerland gehören der Kreis Olpe, der Märkische Kreis, der Hochsauerlandkreis und der Kreis Soest mit allen Städten und Gemeinden sowie die hessischen Gemeinden Willingen und Diemelsee. Seinen Sitz hat der Sauerland-Tourismus in Bad Fredeburg, 15 Teammitglieder arbeiten in verschiedenen Themenfeldern, die das Sauerland als Reiseregion ausmachen. The Saugus Union School District is located in Santa Clarita Valley in Northern Los Angeles County. Currently, there are approximately 10,100 students attending fifteen schools and an independent home study program. We offer preschool programs on sixteen campuses and have approximately 530 preschoolers enrolled. The newest campus, Emblem Academy, was re-opened in the 2013-2014 school year with a focus on Ethics, Science, Technology, Engineering, Entrepreneurship, and Mathematics. Fourteen of our schools have been recognized as California Gold Ribbon Schools, while thirteen have been recognized as California Distinguished Schools, many of them more than once. In 2012 - 2013 one school received the Title I National Academic Achievement award. In addition, five schools have been recognized as National Blue Ribbon Schools. Academic Performance Index (API) scores have been consistently strong with all schools over the state goal of 800. In 2012-2013 our API was 876. All demographic areas of student performance continue to show improvement. Saugus Union School District has an active parent participation movement at all sites with School Site Councils and Parent Teacher Organizations supporting community and educational needs at each school. Representatives of these organizations join together to form the Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) in order to meet and share information under the leadership of the District Superintendent.
