Der gemeinnützige Verein Schüler Treffen Flüchtlinge e.V. wurde als Schülerinitiative im Jahr 2015 gegründet und wird von Jugendlichen komplett ehrenamtlich geleitet. Das Ziel des Vereins ist die Förderung von kulturellem Verständnis zwischen Geflüchteten und Schülern, indem Begegnungsmöglichkeiten, wie gemeinsames Kochen oder Touren durch Berlin, geschaffen werden. Mit der Einbindung von Schülern und Geflüchteten in die Organisationsstruktur wird außerdem das ehrenamtliche Engagement junger Menschen gestärkt. Mit dem Projekt Aktion Zukunft konnte die Vision deutschlandweit verbreitet werden. Durch dieses Multiplikatorenseminar starten Jugendliche seit Anfang 2017 überall in Deutschland eigene Projekte. Mit der Arbeit von STF e.V. entstehen daher nicht nur Freundschaften zwischen Jugendlichen mit und ohne Fluchterfahrung, wodurch Vorurteile abgebaut werden, sondern junge Menschen können sich mit der Unterstützung des Vereins selbst zu gesellschaftlichen Akteuren entwickeln.

Schulich Aerodesign is an engineering student team at the University of Calgary, which designs and builds a heavy-lift class RC aircraft to compete in the annual SAE Aero Design Competition. We provide our members with opportunities to develop their technical, interpersonal and leadership skills. We do this by providing a work environment where all members gain hands-on engineering experience, ranging from the design stage to manufacturing and testing. Our mission is to provide our members with opportunities for career and personal development while also supporting campus and community initiatives to create an environment dedicated to learning about Aerospace Engineering. We pride ourselves in providing our members with opportunities to develop their technical, interpersonal and leadership skills. We are able to do this from the support of our sponsors and the University of Calgary.
