Established in 2008, The Edge has grown into a premier one-stop provider of educational services for Grade 6 through Grade 12, targeting students who intend to pursue overseas education. Our four departments - Academic Tutoring, Test Preparation, Admissions Consulting, and Educational Training - offer a broad range of educational services spanning from SAT and IB Test Prep to teacher training. The Edge Learning Centers operates in multiple regions including Hong Kong, China, Singapore, among others.

Our mission is to produce Therapists who are ready for the demands of the commercial aspects of working in a salon or spa environment. We will deliver our training in 4 different ways, self directed, full time, part time and fast track courses. Each modality will also include mandatory commercial work experience in a working salon environment. We are the only private training school in Scotland to offer this unique combination of training. Our modern approach ensures our courses are accessible to everybody and can work around existing family and work commitments. All of our training staff have extensive experience within the industry and all still work as practicing Therapists, ensuring they can teach our students how to thrive in a commercial salon. Our qualifications are accredited by VTCT and are recognised internationally as a high standard qualification in Beauty Therapy. All of our students, once qualified, will have the qualifications required to become a practicing and fully insured professional.

Edinburgh Tool Library (ETL) exists to support the local community. The library offers a low-cost method for borrowing tools, while providing expert advice, practical workshops and employment and help to young trainees. Working along-side their mentor, the trainee will learn about customer service, trades skills, cataloguing, IT and transferrable employment skills, as well as developing a wide network of trades people and community members to enhance their long term employment prospects whilst earning a wage. The service provided to ETL is also a valuable community resource and would be of great benefit to those who use it, up-skilling local people, teaching new skills, making often costly equipment available for public use, to improve their living and local environments.
