The Harley Jae Trust became a registered Charity in 2015 to provide equipment and support to vulnerable children in hospital and in the community living with life -limiting and life - changing conditions. We transform lives by offering better facilities, equipment and resources to improve the quality of care. The trust was established in 2006 to provide our Chairman’s son, Harley with vital medical equipment that he required to aid his development and make his life more comfortable. Harley was born with a rare neurological condition and sadly passed away at the age of 7. In his memory his father Joseph Rafter registered the charity as he recognised the need to provide families with children like Harley with equipment that is vital in advancing their health. As we grow we will be launching different appeals to help us achieve our goals subsequently improving and saving lives.

I have over 25 years' experience in corporate finance and fundraising, with over 20 years as principal of my own practice. Much of my work has involved working with technology led start-up and early stage businesses as well as established companies throughout the UK. I have a strong track record of success in the securing of funding from both private and public sector sources, often combining the two to help provide clients with the means from which to establish, develop, or expand their business.

‘Get organised with Harrogate’s own concierge service.’ Two friends have decided to combine their ideas and experience to start a new locally based concierge service for businesses and individuals in the Harrogate area. The Concierge service is a new concept providing anything from project management, administrative support to researching information on holidays or wrapping Christmas presents; somebody else runs the errands, does the shopping, fills the fridge and organises property maintenance, allowing you to offload time consuming and tedious tasks to get on with your work or focus on an important project. The service can be provided for a couple of hours, a couple of days or on a regular basis. There are very few concierge services outside London which is why The Harrogate Organisers have introduced the service locally. Harrogate is home to a lot of people who run their own businesses, commute regularly to London and who are generally very busy people. This service is designed to be a ‘one-stop shop’ – The Harrogate Organisers will do the leg work required to collate information. If you wish, they will organise and implement whatever it is you have on your “To Do” list. In the case of local businesses, you might need that extra help for a couple of hours or a couple of days. Maybe you want to set up a meeting, hold an event or even employ extra staff, but you are too busy running the business and satisfying your customers’ needs. If all you want to know is the best venue and how much the catering will cost, The Harrogate Organisers will research the market and present the information so that all you have to do is make a choice. If you wish, they will organise the whole thing. Many concierge businesses charge a monthly membership fee but The Harrogate Organisers charge only for what is delivered.
