Our bespoke art collection, including works by Salvador Dalí, Francesco Clemente and Jonas Burgert, turns the hotel into a gallery. Our Artist in Residence and Spiritual Wellbeing programs invite guests to immerse themselves in creativity and mindfulness. Guests are encouraged to go beyond the ordinary by visiting the Jurema Terrace and glasshouse apothecary, enjoying an Ethnobotanical cocktail at Waeska bar, or dining on South American-inspired cuisine at YOPO. We are a growing community of photographers of all skill and interest levels passionate about producing and exhibiting photography. Our Services We see the making of imagery as transformational agency leading to discovery, exploration and conversation both in class or in print. Research Our qualitative research tool kit uses art and media-based methods, allowing companies, schools and governments to move beyond the big data hoopla and get a more intimate, on the ground perspective for their r + d. Photography Photography is our DNA. From here all our other practices follow suit. We have been generalists all our professional lives and enjoy having one genre or industry experience feed into another. It keeps us on our toes and is an antidote to career complacency. It keeps us fresh. Education If photography is our DNA, education is our modus operandi. We serve a variety of educational needs, from post-graduate level presentations to workshops with victims of violence. Our syllabus covers the practicals of cameras and photography but were pretty clued in on post-production software, presentation, studio lighting, workshop research, development and programming too.

Founded in 1947 and situated in Abingdon, close to Oxford and within easy reach of London by train, The Manor Preparatory School is a thriving, happy school of 375 pupils. The Manor currently welcomes girls 2 – 11 and boys 2 – 7. The Governors have recently announced that from September 2018 The Manor is looking forward to extending its co-educational provision into Year 3. Boys will then be able to progress through the school to the end of Year 6 alongside the girls, keeping families together. The Manor has just received its ISI Inspection Reports from an Inspection that took place in 2017. We are delighted to announce that the news could not have been better – every area of school life received the highest possible rating of ‘excellent’ confirming the exceptional academic and personal development of every pupil as the school begins the transition to full co-education. Inspectors commented that “Pupils’ personal development is strengthened by all staff who set excellent examples as role models to pupils.” The Manor has a wonderfully happy, creative atmosphere. The exceptionally caring and invigorating tone of the school ensures that children really do beam with happiness: they are delightfully self-confident and articulate. Laughter is an essential part of the school day in our community where children are both cherished and challenged. The current Headmaster, Piers Heyworth is due to retire in December 2017; the new Headmaster, Alastair Thomas will join The Manor in January 2018. Mr Thomas is currently Head of The Elms School, a co-educational Prep School near Malvern. The Manor has begun a comprehensive building programme and a new sports hall is currently under construction – completion September 2018.
