The Other 23, a non-profit orginization, was founded with the sole mission of bringing people together in order to make a distinct impact on Veteran communities. Based in Austin, Texas, we provide opportunities for veterans to take advantage of community based, active therapy, hobbies with like-minded professionals and individuals. Our vision, is to provide a network of patriotic individuals and companies, who share our passion for positively impacting the lives of veterans through immersive camps. While our camps are a tool we use to bring communities together, we are most focused on the 23 hours our participants are not at the camp. This is where The Other 23 community steps up. Co-Founders, Adam Caballero, Alana Simone, and Michael Ward, initially created Get Wet with a Vet, a charitable event focused on introducing veterans to surf therapy through wake surfing. It was designed out of a passion for surfing and a desire to change the lives for our veterans struggling with PTS, TBI, and depression. After seeing the phenomenal impact a single event was able to have on the veteran community in Austin, they began the creation of what has become The Other 23. Focused on therapy and support of Texas Veterans, through immersive sports-based camps. Teaming up with groups like One More Wave, Wake for Warriors, and The Adaptive Training Foundation, they have increased their capabilities and impact when working with wounded servicemen and servicewomen. The team at The Other 23, have recognized a need for an honest approach to creating communities around Texas veterans, and will stay true to that calling in the future. When it came to defining who we are and what we offer, calling ourselves an ‘advertising agency’ felt a little distorted. Of course, we’ve all worked in advertising agencies before, and we know what they can do. However, it is what they don’t do which has formed our collective opinion over whether or not we should label ourselves an ‘advertising agency’. Given everything we’ve learned and all the skills we’ve acquired along the way, we are able to provide our clients so much more than mere a TV spot, or billboard. In fact, we have learned to capture the spirit of our times, diving head first into a world that is infinitely more fluid, complex and enlightened than the romanticised playground inhabited by the Don Drapers of yesteryear. But that doesn’t solve our initial quandary. What we call ourselves? A ‘marketing agency’ felt too wide. A ‘creative agency’ felt too narrow. And a ‘digital agency’ felt like we had been asleep for the past 10 years. In the end we tabled something along the lines of ‘We are a brave and honest bunch who are bloody good at making brands, products, services, people and ideas desirable, and worth talking about – especially in a playground where the old rules no longer hold sway’. It’s a bit of mouthful, so if you want to call us an ad agency, knock yourself out. Either way… Welcome to The Other Kingdom.

At Out & About Baby this really hit home when founder, Laura Ruston had her own baby and tried to get out and about with him. Laura went in search of a solution to help her get out of the house with her new son, Harvey, and came back with nothing. From this, the idea for The Out & About Baby Company was born and in May 2017, with the launch of the website, it is a global-first in helping users feel in control, relaxed and hopefully able to enjoy their time out with little ones. While using the website, customers will be able to do the following: 1. Find nearby baby friendly facilities while already out and about. 2. Plan trips in advance based on real parent recommendations and reviews. 3. Earn points, support the community and receive rewards. The website directory content is free to use, giving parents access to information and locations in their local geographical area as well as further afield. Our aim is to inspire and empower parents with beautiful, engaging and exciting content to encourage them to get out of the house and to see and go somewhere new whether that be locally, interstate or overseas.
