The School of Artisan Food is a registered charity dedicated to teaching skills in all aspects of sustainable and artisan food production. The School, based on the beautiful Welbeck Estate in Nottinghamshire, has specialist training facilities where students learn from a team of industry experts. At the home of artisan food production, we believe that food created using traditional, heritage methods not only tastes better, but it also has an important positive impact on our wellbeing and on the environment. By sharing knowledge, teaching skills and connecting like-minded people, the School inspires students to become part of a thriving artisan food community. We offer an excellent opportunity for people of all skill levels to expand their knowledge through a wide range of short courses and a full-time six month Advanced Diploma in Artisan Baking. Our range of exciting subject areas include: baking and patisserie, brewing and drinks, butchery, cheesemaking, chocolate, curing and smoking, cooking, food business start-ups, food photography, foraging, ice cream, and fermentation and pickling. The School has an outstanding reputation for the quality of training it provides with courses being taught by some of the most skilled and experienced artisan producers and tutors. As well as up-skilling existing and aspiring producers and teaching enthusiastic amateurs and complete newcomers, we are especially keen to provide opportunities for the local community. The School of Arts and Enterprise (The SAE), a tuition-free, arts focused middle and high school serving students in grades 6 - 12, embraces and encourages artistic creativity and academic excellence. Established in 2003, The SAE is a place for aspiring young artists to refine their skills and for budding entrepreneurs to develop their expertise. The SAE's project based learning curriculum combines academics, the arts, and entrepreneurship to produce creative students ready to be successful in the ever changing marketplace of today.

Sustainable Livelihood We provide sustainable source of income to Sibaltan Women Weavers of El Nido, Palawan, by partnering with them to create handwoven leather bags, elevating this indigenous group's craftsmanship.

Summer Academy Our Summer Academy program gives intellectually curious high school students the opportunity to pursue their passions while living and learning in New York City or Washington DC. Gap Year Gap Year is a program for ambitious high school graduates seeking a transformative intellectual adventure in New York City. The program is ideal for students who are deferring college enrollment, taking time off between life stages or simply seeking an intellectual adventure as they consider future educational and professional paths. Writing Workshop Our Writing Workshop gives rising middle and high school students an opportunity to enhance their writing skills under the tutelage of some of the best writers in the world. This week-long course draws from the strength of The School’s premier writing faculty and journalism courses.
