The Scott Mission is a Christian ministry of mercy and love. We aim to meet the needs of people with love and compassion and seek to bring spiritual, physical, and emotional wholeness to their lives. The Mission is privately funded and employs over 100 dedicated staff at 502 Spadina, our Family Centre in East York, the Collingwood Retreat Centre and our Summer Camp in Caledon. Building on the vision of our founders Morris and Annie Zeidman, who began the work in 1941, we have remained Christ-centred in all our programs and services. It was their belief that the hunger of the soul needed to be addressed as well as the hunger of the physical body. Situated in a wonderful collection of historic buildings and overlooking the harbour of beautiful fishing port, the Scottish Fisheries Museum Limited is a charitable trust based out of Harbourhead, Cellardyke, United Kingdom, which has become a national institution with an international reputation. Our principal aim, in all of our efforts with regard to the displays in our extensive museum and our many educational and research activities, is to excite informed interest in the development of the Scottish commercial fishing industry among people of all ages in and beyond Scotland. The core story that we have to tell is the history of how, through a constant process of innovation, the Scottish fisheries became such an important part of the lives of so many Scots. The Scottish Fisheries Museum Trust Ltd. is a Scottish Charity, SC006185, regulated by the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR).

The Scottish Law Commission was established by an Act of the UK Parliament in 1965 (alongside the Law Commission for England and Wales) to advise on law reform. There are five Commissioners: a Chairman (currently the Court of Session judge, Lord Pentland) and four others, one of whom is part-time. The Commission reports to both the Scottish and the UK governments. Its recommendations are based on research on the content and working of current law, comparative solutions, and the results of public consultation on the issues.

Since 1994, the Internet Scout Research Group (Scout) has focused on developing better tools and services for finding, filtering, and presenting online information and metadata. Located on the University of Wisconsin-Madison's campus, and part of the University's College of Letters and Sciences, Scout has access to highly educated content specialists and a world-class array of computer science and library resources. Our eclectic staff blends academics and professionals from Library Science and Computer Science, along with graduate and undergraduate students studying the sciences, social sciences and humanities.
