The West Nipissing General Hospital is a smaller rural Hospital in Northern Ontario built in 1977. We are fully committed to the delivery of quality primary healthcare to the residents of West Nipissing and surrounding areas by providing clean, modern facilities and excellent support services. We currently have 98 beds (27 Medical/ Surgical, 2 Pediatric, 2 Enhanced Care Unit, 19 Complex Continuing Care and 48 Long-Term Care) plus a 24-hour Emergency Department. Located on Amsterdam Avenue between 93rd and 94th Streets, The Commons is a place where low- and moderate-income youth and families of the Upper West Side community come together as an extended family to learn and share resources and opportunities that help them face and overcome problems created by unequal access to quality education and economic opportunities. The Commons serves more than 500 families each year and provides programming six days a week for 300 Upper West Side children, youth, and families.
