Seit über 100 Jahren stellt Thyssengas als Fernleitungsnetzbetreiber die zuverlässige Gasversorgung von Stadtwerken, Industrieanlagen und Kraftwerken im Westen Deutschlands sicher. Mit unserem rund 4.400 Kilometer langen Gasnetz, dessen Herzstück in Nordrhein-Westfalen liegt, zählen wir zu den führenden Fernleitungsnetzbetreibern des Landes. Unsere rund 550 Mitarbeitenden an sieben Standorten konzentrieren sich seit Jahrzehnten auf den Erdgastransport. Rund sechs Milliarden Kubikmeter Erdgas landen aktuell jährlich bei den Verbrauchern. Doch nun steht die größte Transformation unserer Unternehmensgeschichte bevor: Das Netz wird für den Transport von Wasserstoff und anderen grünen Gasen vorbereitet. Wasserstoff ist zweifellos der Energieträger der Zukunft. Er kann wesentlich zur Versorgungssicherheit in Deutschland beitragen und die Dekarbonisierung der Energiewelt beschleunigen. Herzstück der künftigen nationalen Wasserstoff-Infrastruktur ist das H2-Kernnetz. Ziel ist es, die großen Verbrauchs- und Erzeugungsregionen für Wasserstoff zu erreichen und so zentrale Standorte anzubinden. Gemeinsam mit den anderen Fernleitungsnetzbetreibern hat Thyssengas dieses Grundgerüst der H2-Infrastruktur modelliert und geplant. Diese Transportverbindungen schaffen die Voraussetzung für einen schnellen Wasserstoff-Markthochlauf. Wir wollen einer der führenden Netzbetreiber für den Transport von Wasserstoff und anderen grünen Gasen zu werden. Dafür realisieren wir schrittweise ein bedarfsorientiertes und effizientes H2-Netz mit Schwerpunkt in Nordrhein-Westfalen und Niedersachsen. Thyssengas ist Ansprechpartner für 35 Neubau- und Umstellungsprojekte mit insgesamt rund 1.100 Leitungskilometern im Rahmen des H2-Kernnetzes. Parallel zum Aufbau dieser Leitungen entwickeln wir gemeinsam mit den lokalen Akteuren Lösungen für Anschlussleitungen und Netzerweiterungen.
