The team at Tripfuser, made up of nationals from Australia, Brazil, Netherlands, New Zealand, South Africa, UK, USA and Vietnam, has decades of travel experience. Back in 2008, Matt Beard, one of our founders, and a small group of friends and family wanted to travel to Nepal. Their mission was to avoid off-the-shelf package tours and large group tours so they decided to build the trip from scratch working only with a local expert in Nepal. As Matt had been working in the travel industry for decades, he was lucky enough to know who to reach out to. Together, they designed a personalised trip full of trekking experiences, adventures like whitewater rafting and cultural visits as they toured Nepal. Matt came away from this trip wondering why this wasn’t something that was accessible for every traveller. The magic of this trip was being able to combine their wishlist with expert local knowledge. Tripfuser was born in 2016 out of the mission to find an innovative way to connect Travellers and Travel Agents with local experts, just like the one that designed Matt’s trip. With access to this local insight, unique, personalised travel experiences are limitless. We are committed to providing a new world of experiences; with our trusted Local Suppliers on the ground ready to design the ultimate tailored trip. Together with the founding organizations Ontario Institute for Cancer Research (OICR) and MaRS Innovation, and supported by MaRS Discovery District along with strategic oncology partnerships, Triphase has formed a unique partnership to produce proof-of-concept data for investors, partners, regulators, payers, and ultimately prescribers and patients. MISSION STATEMENT Our Mission is to accelerate the development of promising cancer therapies from pre-IND to proof of concept (Phase II) in order to bring more effective, affordable treatments to cancer patients, faster than traditional drug development. BUSINESS MODEL Triphase focuses on accelerating oncology products from pre-investigational new drug (pre-IND) to Phase I/Phase II POC in less time with less capital than traditional pharma and biotech approaches. It accomplishes this through support from world-class scientists, clinicians, and business professionals, state-of-the-art facilities and entrepreneurial resources predominantly in Canada and the United States. Triphase draws on the people, skills and infrastructure represented in the Toronto / Ontario and San Diego / Southern California bio hubs, and taps into expertise around the world.
