Tucson Old Pueblo Credit Union was established in 1935 when Fire Captain John “Slatz” Freeman and 19 other men pooled their resources to form Tucson Municipal Employees Federal Credit Union. The first branch was at Fire Station One in downtown Tucson and the hours of operation were whenever there wasn’t a fire. The firefighters invited the police department and all City of Tucson employees to be part of the credit union. Through the years the Credit Union has made changes in both charters and names but throughout it all TOPCU has remained dedicated to our founding members, the City of Tucson employees.

Tucson Postpartum Depression Coalition Founded in 2005, Tucson Postpartum Depression Coalition (TPDC) is a non-profit, charitable organization committed to improving the lives of mothers by promoting the emotional health of pregnant and postpartum mothers in Pima County. The coalition was formed to focus the efforts of dedicated healthcare professionals on the development and delivery of comprehensive services to women with perinatal mood disorders. The Coalition is comprised of healthcare professionals serving pregnant and postpartum women in Pima County. Coalition members represent major hospitals and clinics that serve diverse populations throughout Pima County. General members attend quarterly meetings and board members meet periodically. TPDC achieves its mission through education for women, their families and their providers, referrals to psychotherapeutic support, and advocacy for public policy.

The misssion of the Pima County School Superintendent's Office is to promote educational excellence through LEADERSHIP, SERVICE, and COLLABORATION. The Pima County School Superintendent's Office is a constitutional office with specific statutory mandates and authorities (Constitution of the State of Arizona, Article XI). Its statutory responsibilities fall into four broad categories: fiscal, special administration, informational and educational.

Tucson Values Teachers (TVT) is a partnership of business leaders, educators and individuals with a shared mission to help schools and districts attract, retain and support the very best teachers for every K-12 classroom in Southern Arizona. We recognize the critical role teachers play in student achievement and the vital influence they have on the future of Tucson and our region. Through our work, we seek to raise public awareness of the value of the teaching profession and provide a range of programs to support teachers professionally and financially. We also leverage our partnerships with the Southern Arizona Leadership Council and other business and education groups to advocate for funding and policies that positively impact teachers, students and schools.
