TECTERRA contributes to the economic growth in Alberta and across Canada by investing in and supporting the development and commercialization of geomatics technology, and in the development of highly qualified personnel. TECTERRA has recently expanded its funding support focus. In addition to enabling the commercialization of innovative geomatics technology solutions for Integrated Resource Management (IRM), we have added a special focus on the projects we support. TECTERRA is now seeking opportunities to invest in projects focused on the development and commercialization of technology products, tools, and systems for environmental monitoring, management, and protection for the various resource industries. If the scope of your project falls within this category, we encourage you to apply for funding support. Our Core Programs Include: Industry Investment Program (IND) - enable and support Alberta geomatics companies in the development and commercialization of new geomatics solutions with a focus on Integrated Resource Management (IRM). Projects involving geomatics technology commercialization in other sectors are also considered. Commercialization Support Services Program (CSS) - provide funding to assist geomatics entrepreneurs in the implementation of best-practice techniques in the development, management and growth of their business. Tradeshow Attendance Program (TAP) - provide sponsorship funding to assist geomatics technology entrepreneurs, start-up companies and small companies to attend relevant industry events, tradeshows and conferences in support of their technology commercialization efforts. GEO-Placement Program - provide a non-repayable grant of 50% of the position salary, up to $50,000 for a period of one year for a net-new HQP hire.
