In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx.TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event will be called TEDxBern.

At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. In the spirit of Ideas Worth Spreading, TEDxCincinnati brings people together to share a TED-like experience. Individual TEDx events are self-organized, where the x = independently organized. The TEDxCincinnati 2017 Main Stage event on June 17, 2017 will feature live TED talks from some of our region's most creative people, TED talk videos and performers to spark deep discussion and connection. It is a community of remarkable individuals who contribute to “Ideas Worth Spreading.” About TED TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a conference in California 26 years ago, TED has grown to support those world-changing ideas with many initiatives. At a TED conference, the world’s leading thinkers and doers are asked to give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes or less. TED speakers have included Roger Ebert, Sheryl Sandberg, Bill Gates, Elizabeth Gilbert, Benoit Mandelbrot, Philippe Starck, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Brian Greene, Isabel Allende and former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown. Three major TED events are held each year: The TED Conference takes place every spring in Vancouver, Canada, simultaneous with TEDActive, in Whistler, British Columbia; and the TEDGlobal Conference takes place each summer in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Attending a TEDx event might change your life, at least change your min! > The main TEDxClermont conference happens once a year at a preeminent venue in Clermont-Ferrand, Auvergne, France. > Several smaller evening sessions called TEDxClermontSalons gather a smaller audience every quarter around a theme. > In 2020, TEDxClermont joined the COUNTDOWN to champion and accelerate solutions to the climate crisis, turning ideas into action. > TEDxClermont also organizes adventures to visit inspiring initiatives and/or locations. > TEDxClermont plan to create a Kids/Youth event organize and curated by teenagers.

TEDxCSUS 2017: There is an old saying, what goes around comes around. This simple principle of cause and effect serves as our own personal boomerang. Just as boomerangs return to their originator, we believe that what we give, we receive back in countless dividends. TEDxCSUS is an independently organized TED event that brings together local speakers to discuss how they’ve tossed their own personal boomerang into the world, and the effect it’s had on their local communities. Just as boomerangs come back around, we believe in empowering each other so that this support can “come back around” to our region.
