In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that brings people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. About TED TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California 25 years ago, TED has grown to support those world-changing ideas with multiple initiatives. The annual TED Conference invites the world's leading thinkers and doers to speak for 18 minutes. Their talks are then made available, free, at TED.com. The annual TED Conference takes place in Long Beach, California, with simulcast in Palm Springs; TEDGlobal is held each year in Oxford, UK. TED's media initiatives include TED.com, where new TEDTalks are posted daily, and the Open Translation Project, which provides subtitles and interactive transcripts as well as the ability for any TEDTalk to be translated by volunteers worldwide. TED has established the annual TED Prize, where exceptional individuals with a wish to change the world are given the opportunity to put their wishes into action; TEDx, which offers individuals or groups a way to organize independent, TED-like events around the world; and the TEDFellows program, helping world-changing innovators from around the globe to become part of the TED community and, with its help, amplify the impact of their remarkable projects and activities. TEDxExeter is an independent TEDx event operated under license from TED. It is not being organised by the TED conferences — this is an independent TEDx event organised by volunteers. What is TED? TED is a nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. Since then its scope has become ever broader. Along with two annual conferences -- the TED Conference in Long Beach and Palm Springs each spring, and the TEDGlobal conference in Edinburgh UK each summer -- TED includes the award-winning TED Talks video site, the Open Translation Project and TED Conversations, the inspiring TED Fellows and TEDx programs, and the annual TED Prize. TEDxGenova è un’opportunità per Genova. Città di navigatori, poeti, avventurieri, cantautori da sempre, basterebbe questo ma vogliamo ancora di più. Crediamo nel potere delle idee di cambiare le persone e il mondo, e crediamo nella necessità di diffondere liberamente esperienze, progetti e pensieri che possano aprire le menti e incoraggiare a plasmare il futuro. Per questo abbiamo deciso di portare sul nostro palco le idee di pensatori, inventori, sportivi, artisti, e innovatori. Siamo sicuri che vi ispireranno a vedere Genova e le sue prospettive nascoste. Vogliamo ridare a Genova l’appellativo Superba, il porto del “commercio” di idee. La nostra avventura è iniziata nel 2015 con TedxPortoAntico e da lì l nostra energia, il nostro entusiasmo, il nostro staff di volontari e il nostro pubblico sono cresciuti esponenzialmente. Dopo sette edizioni di successo, TedxGenova si prepara oggi ad accogliere nuovamente i cittadini genovesi (e non) alla nona edizione di TEDxGenova 2024 per continuare ad ispirare, stupire e condividere con il pubblico idee nuove, innovative, uniche. Idee "worth spreading"​, ovvero che vale la pena di diffondere!

Our event is called TEDxGhent, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxGhent event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized. The TEDxGhent team consists entirely of volunteers.

TEDxGöteborg has been active in Gothenburg since 2009, created in the spirit of TED's mantra that "ideas change everything".  We believe that sharing ideas can change attitudes, lives, and ultimately our world.  We draw our speakers from an incredible regional talent pool, who come from any discipline, challenge the norms, and think both locally and globally.  We’ve reached thousands in our live audiences and over thirty million have viewed our resulting videos.  What new ideas are being created and discussed in Gothenburg?  How can we reflect Gothenburg outward to the world?  What can the rest of the world learn from our community? TEDxHuntsville is a local derivative of TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design), a nonprofit organization known for online talks. Since 2009, local professionals and residents excited about Ideas Worth Spreading have volunteered to bring TED to the Tennessee Valley area. The team meets throughout the year, curating and planning for the annual TEDxHuntsville and TEDxYouth@Huntsville events, plus smaller intimate gatherings for livestreams and TEDTalk sessions. TEDxHuntsville is involved in bringing awareness and participation to positive, engaging, local community projects. TEDxHuntsville is seeking the support of local companies who can offer ways to enhance the experience for attendees — most often through in-kind goods and services. TEDxHuntsville is organized under the financial stewardship of Kinertia, which is a 501(c)(3) organization.

Les conférences TED (Technology, Entertainment and Design) sont une série de conférences organisées au niveau international par la fondation à but non lucratif américaine The Sapling foundation. Elle a pour but de diffuser des « idées qui valent la peine d'être diffusées » (en anglais : « ideas worth spreading »). TEDx est un programme qui permet aux écoles, aux entreprises, aux bibliothèques ou aux groupes d'amis de profiter d'une expérience semblable à celle de TED par le biais d'événements qu'ils organisent eux-mêmes. Les conférences sont apolitiques et ne peuvent engendrer de profits. Dans le même esprit, TEDxINSA est une conférence organisée chaque année depuis 2013 par l’association INSA Talks et ses étudiants de l’Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon, de façon indépendante sous licence TED. Durant une après-midi d’animations et de conférences, TEDxINSA donne donc la parole à des intervenants venus du monde entier afin de leur permettre de transmettre un message nouveau, innovant et impactant.
