Telco Community Credit Union has been providing financial services to communities in the Western North Carolina Area for 88 years. We were organized in 1935 to serve the employees of the Southern Bell Telephone System. Today, we are a community chartered credit union serving the citizens in Alexander, Buncombe, Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, Haywood, Henderson, Madison, McDowell, Rutherford, Polk, and Transylvania Counties. Telco Community Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative owned by its members. This means that as a credit union member, you are never a customer, but a full partner and owner. The credit union motto “People Helping People” is demonstrated in every transaction that takes place at Telco Community Credit Union. HISTORY: East Texas Telco Credit Union was organized June 26, 1951, as a state-chartered credit union in a Longview home. The credit union served employees of Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Longview. As the credit union grew, the location was moved to where the credit union now sits, and another branch in Tyler was added in 1996. In 1997, the board chose to change the name of the credit union to Telco Plus Credit Union to better reflect the expanded membership base. Telco Plus CU is not for Profit Cooperative for anyone living or working in Gregg or Smith County. Services include a large variety of deposit accounts, checking accounts and loans. Members can expect to be treated like an owner, because THEY ARE THE OWNERS. If you have $25 in an account or $250,000, your voice is heard! YOU CAN JOIN: Telco Plus Credit Union provides all the benefits of a member-owned financial institution to anyone who lives or works in Gregg or Smith County, or has a family member that is a Telco Plus member, or works for any of our 200+ sponsor companies.

Telco Triad Community Credit Union has been serving the financial needs of its members since it was established as Sioux City District Telco Credit Union in 1945 by the employees of the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company. In the late 1970's, Sioux City District began to expand by merging credit unions. With the merger of Health Triad Credit Union in 1983, the name was changed to Telco Triad Credit Union. With subsequent mergers, we became Telco Triad Community Credit Union, serving families living or working in Woodbury, Clay, Plymouth and Pottawattamie counties, as well as all contiguous counties in Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota. The first office was opened in May 1955 in the Insurance Exchange Building. In 1961, Telco purchased and moved into a new location at 509 9th Street. Further growth enabled the credit union to purchase its present main office facility at 1420 Tri View Ave. in 1981. Continued growth and expansion has led to office locations at 5500 Military Road and 2550 Glenn Ave. in Sioux City, as well as 24 West 4th Street in Spencer, and 11 North 7th St. Denison, Iowa. Our assets are in excess of $140 million, serving over 15,000 members. We are proud of our over 78 years of service providing low cost financial assistance to our members and look forward to continued growth into the next century.
