Texas Swim Academy began in 2004 as a home based business in the Katy Area providing infant water survival training. In 2004, Kathleen McMordie formed the company after receiving extensive in-water and academic training to teach infant aquatic survival. The training she received enabled her to safely and effectively teach infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers skills that could save their lives. The home-based business steadily developed over the next few years reaching the maximum usage of our backyard pool by 2009. In 2012, we built an approximately 7,800 square foot facility to provide climate-controlled, well-equipped, central location where families can bring their children to learn and to practice their swimming skills. In addition, Texas Swim Academy provides the services as follows. • Nationally recognized instructors to provide one-on-one infant aquatics instruction • Locally recognized instructors for group swimming lessons • Private swimming instructors for competition preparatory stroke development We take pride in our expertise in working with infants and small children and believe that we are saving lives, one child at a time. We form special relationships with both our students and their parents.

The Texas Taxpayers and Research Association (TTARA) is the state’s pre-eminent association focusing on responsible state and local fiscal policy and how those policies impact the Texas economy. TTARA is a non-profit, membership-supported organization of both businesses and individuals. Our membership includes several hundred of the state’s largest employers and taxpayers, as well as leading tax professionals and trade associations that represent businesses and professions. They include the entire range of economic sectors and activities in Texas and share a common belief that all participants in our state's economic life have a stake in determining its future. TTARA members operate in every part of Texas; they employ and provide incomes to thousands of Texans; they produce or provide every type of good or service Texans consume; and, they provide a huge portion of the revenue that supports public services at every level of government. We provide our members with current information and high quality analysis of developing tax and spending issues. We provide educational services to our members and opportunities for them to network and meet with public policy makers. And we advocate changes in public policies where they are necessary to improve the state's fiscal practices and business climate.
