People with intellectual disabilities have a safe place to live at CPARC, and services that encourage them to grow. “CPARC helps us grow and grow and grow, like a flower,” says Bryan, one of the folks we support. Just 60 years ago, people with disabilities were living in institutional settings. At that time, the only option for parents of a child with a disability was to place their child in a state institution. A group of concerned parents created CPARC in 1953 to offer an alternative to institutionalization for their children with special needs. The mission of The Arc of Cumberland & Perry Counties (CPARC) is to empower, inspire, and educate people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families, and the community. “You help people, like my son, feel self-sufficient,” one mother says.

The Arc of Evansville is a leading advocate for the rights of individuals with disabilities. Our innovative services range from training and supports for employment, transition services from high school to adult life, and volunteer opportunities in the community. Our mission is to empower individuals with disabilities to build relationships, gain independence, and achieve their full potential.

The Arc of Greater Boone County, previously known as Arc Rehab Services, exists to help people with disabilities and others in need to reach his or her maximum potential in partnership with the community. Programs such as Mainstreet Enterprises, Job Connection, Transition, PCS, W.I.C. and Arc Artisans provide opportunities for people with disabilities and special needs in Central Indiana, helping to create a better environment for everyone to live, play, and work in our communities.

Celebrating more than 50 years, The Arc of Lehigh and Northampton Counties touches the lives of more than 1,500 local individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families each year, providing the services and support they need to live full and productive lives. The Arc of Rensselaer County is a non-profit agency located in Troy, NY supporting individuals with disabilities and their families throughout Rensselaer County. Formerly known as Rensselaer County ARC, we are an association of people with disabilities, parents, professionals and community members dedicated to building the capacity of the community to fully include persons with disabilities. Since our founding in 1950 by a group of parents, The Arc has developed a rich array of supports to improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. The Arc of the Midlands is a member of the largest national community-based organization advocating for and serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. We encompass all ages and all spectrums from autism, Down syndrome, Fragile X and various other developmental and intellectual disabilities. People living with disabilities are like everyone else. They deserve choices. The Arc works with them and their families to ensure that they have those choices.
