Underwriting Africa is a boutique Insurance Intermediary Company set up to provide niche and specialist insurance solutions to Corporates operating in Africa and those that seek to expand their footprint into Africa. We challenge convention in order to deliver market unique products and services to our customers. Our headquarters is based in Nairobi Kenya, with supporting offices in London & Paris. Areas of specialisation are Trade Credit Insurance, Microinsurance, Aviation and Energy (including Oil & Gas)

Undiscovered Montenegro Ltd provides activity holidays and small group tours at Lake Skadar National Park, Montenegro, as well as adventures in the nearby mountains of northern Montenegro and Albania. We provide accommodation for guests at our own boutique guesthouse near Virpazar, Villa Miela, as well as elsewhere, offer packaged and tailormade itineraries building on our unique local knowledge. And we provide and deliver a wide array of sustainable tours, from kayaking, hiking and cycling, to wine tours, wild swimming and gastonomy. We also act as ground handlers for other agencies wanting to operate tours in this remote and wildly beautiful destination where little English is spoken.

Development challenges in Asia and the Pacific are as diverse and complex as the region itself. It has some of the youngest democracies and some of the world’s most dynamic economies, but it is also home to more than half the world’s poor. It is the most disaster-prone region in the world, with small island developing states in the Pacific bearing the brunt of climate change. Meanwhile, concerns about environmental degradation are increasingly relevant for some of the fastest growing economies in the region. To respond to these challenges, UNDP concentrates its efforts on building the region’s capacity to promote inclusive, pro-poor growth, effective governance, and sustainable and resilient development. We help our partners in identifying relevant solutions to today’s complex, trans-boundary development challenges. We support them to design and implement large scale development initiatives that deliver lasting social, economic and environmental improvements in countries across the region. UNDP provides support to governments to integrate the Sustainable Development Goals into their national development plans and policies. This work is already underway, as we support many countries in accelerating progress already achieved under the Millennium Development Goals.

The United Nations Development Programme has over 60 years of development partnerships in Malaysia. With beginnings in the 1950’s with on a project to project basis, UNDP has established into a key development partner for the Government of Malaysia. UNDP is guided by its five-year Country Programme Action Plan matching technical and development assistance in stride with Malaysia’s own five-year national development plans. UNDP is currently in its 10th cycle of the Country Programme Action Plan 2016-2020: Aligned to development priorities of 11th Malaysia Plan. For the last 6 decades UNDP’s assistance has been in stride with Malaysia’s own five-year national development plans, strategic agendas and policy priorities encompassing inclusive growth and economic development, poverty eradication, gender empowerment, promoting good governance and anti-corruption, empowering persons with disabilities, strengthening renewable energy approaches, mainstreaming environmental management and protection, science and technology for development, rationalising public sector reform, strengthening the national response to HIV/AIDS as well as promotion of South-South Cooperation for global development. Our expertise is as an integrator and facilitator in policy advisory work through a localized lens, by bringing all relevant stakeholders together, thus ensuring an inclusive approach to policy recommendations. Furthermore, with 170 offices around the world, Regional Bureaus in each continent, six Global Policy Centres and headquarters in New York, UNDP can provide global and regional lens and expertise in a kaleidoscope of areas. We specifically aim to assist in the strengthening of the technical and policy capacities of national institutions, providing critical medium and long-term policy inputs, piloting innovative development projects, and contributing to significant progress in promoting human development in Malaysia.
