The UK Lubricants Association actively represents member company’s interests both at home and overseas. Representing the majority of the UK Lubricants Industry, the UKLA is actively engaged with other trade associations, see such as UEIL, ORA, UKPIA etc. on matters impacting the industry, through participation in consultation, representation and lobbying to UK and European Government and industry authorities. In addition to our core representation role and activity, we also provide our membership with industry networking events and knowledge sharing, through training and communications on industry developments and legislation. The UKLA organisation acts as the voice of the lubricants industry. - providing members with advice and information on current, future and pending legislation; - acting as a forum for industry views; - monitoring UK Government departments and other Agencies about proposed legislative developments; - lobbying to influence Legislation / Regulations and provide Members with an inflow of information, including an “early-warning system” on legislative issues; - providing members with help on industry wide issues; - gaining recognition as the focal point and lead body for the UK lubricants industry sector by UK Government and its agencies; - communicating with members via LUBE magazine, the official journal of UEIL, the members only section of the UKLA Web-Site and the monthly UKLA Newsletter; - facilitating specialist knowledge areas such as the Metalworking Fluids – Product Stewardship programme; - training those who wish to widen their industry knowledge via the UKLA Certification of Lubricant Competence Training Programme; - networking events, meetings and seminars To find out more about what we do or becoming a member please contact us on 01442 875922 enquiries@ukla.org.uk. The United Kingdom Rescue Organisation (UKRO) is a group of Fire and Rescue Service and medically qualified volunteers from across the UK. We are committed to advancing professional rescue standards throughout the UK and internationally by bringing together rescue services using the Rescue Challenge Concept. The UKRO is a charitable incorporated organisation entered on the Register of Charities for England and Wales with the registered charity number 1166883. It’s governance structure is set around a board of trustees who undertake the day to day management of the UKRO by means of the following directorates, which include Education and Development, International Development, Rescue Challenge development, Legal, Governance, Administrative Services and Health & Safety and Organisational Development, Marketing and Communications. The UKRO National Rescue Challenge is a platform for UK and international rescue professionals to learn, develop best practice and share skills and knowledge in technical and medical rescue. The UKRO in conjunction with a host FRS deliver this annual event for rescue teams to attend educational workshops and compete against each other for the Best Individual and Team awards. The five Rescue Discipline which form part of the annual rescue challenge include Rope, Trauma Care, Urban Search and Rescue (USAR), Vehicle Extrication and Water.
