Student Technology Services (formerly known as Residential Computing) at the University of California - Berkeley is a largely student-run technical support program. It serves undergraduate and graduate students on campus by ensuring that they have reliable network access and responsive, customer-facing technical support for their academic and personal needs. STS is committed to helping students effectively navigate the technology services and resources available at UC Berkeley. Our organization is driven by a staff that includes over 80 students who provide both frontline support and behind-the-scenes work to deliver critical technology services. Student Technology Services provides extensive technical and management training to its student employees, who come from a wide variety of academic majors and backgrounds. The Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) is a network of students, alumni, and health professionals who are interested in the health and well-being of the Latino community, dedicated to providing social and professional support for Latino students, and committed to increasing cultural awareness within our medical school community. LMSA was founded in 1986 to increase the number of Latinos and other underrepresented students in medical schools throughout the country. It is our belief that allowing a diverse array of students into medical school will ensure that all sectors of society receive quality access to healthcare. Through our outreach and community service efforts, we continue to inspire hundreds of students to become culturally competent physicians who are determined to serve all sectors of society. With these thoughts in mind, we continue to work towards strengthening our efforts in developing future physician leaders who will continue to open the doors of opportunity.

The Student Startup Center (SSC) at UC Davis is an on-campus organization where UC Davis students can prototype ideas and collaborate on technology ventures. The space was designed as a creativity hub for learners and young entrepreneurs, and is equipped with resources to empower students at the earliest stages of their startup ideas. These include materials and software for the creation of prototypes, a 3D printer for generating physical prototypes, a 3D scanner for digitizing 3D physical models, and a CNC device for milling and machining of plastics, wood, and aluminum. Since its launch in October 2013, this unique flexible space has served as a classroom, meeting space, event venue, makerspace and student startup incubator for over 850 students on campus.
