UCC was established in 1845 as one of three Queen’s Colleges at Cork, Galway and Belfast. These new colleges were founded in the reign of Queen Victoria and named after her. Queen's College, Cork (QCC) was established to provide access to higher education in the Irish province of Munster. The site chosen for the new college was dramatic and picturesque, on the edge of a limestone bluff overlooking the River Lee. On the 7th of November, 1849, QCC opened its doors to a small group of 115 students after a glittering inaugural ceremony in the Aula Maxima (Great Hall), which is still the symbolic and ceremonial heart of the University. From 1850, QCC was part of the Queen's University of Ireland and, from the 1880s, of the Royal University of Ireland. By the beginning the twentieth century, however, it was clear that higher education in Ireland required a new arrangement to permit the next stages of development. That change came in 1908 through the National University of Ireland (NUI), of which the former QCC, now University College Cork (UCC) is a founding member. Since 1908, UCC has grown from 115 students to over 20,000, from one building to dozens, from less than 20 staff to more than 1,600 today. Since 1997, we have become a university in our own right within the NUI, but we retain the UCC name as part of our heritage of learning since 1845.

The University College Literary & Athletic Society (or UC Lit) is your student government at University College, University of Toronto. Founded in 1854 and composed of 31 elected student representatives, the UC Lit provides many services, organizes a variety of events, and represents almost 5000 University College students at UofT. We strive to represent and support our fellow UC students and help them make the most of their university experience.

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH), situated in the heart of London, is one of the most complex NHS Trusts in the United Kingdom, serving a large and diverse population. In July 2004, we were one of the first NHS Trusts to be granted Foundation Trust status. We provide academically led acute and specialist services, both locally and to patients from throughout the United Kingdom and abroad. We balance the provision of highly rated specialist services with providing acute services to the local populations of Camden, Islington, Westminster and the City of London. We have a turnover of £632 million and contracts with more than 150 Primary Care Trusts to provide services. We treat over 500,000 outpatients appointments and admit 100,000 patients each year. UCAS is a Palestinian academic institution of higher-education in Gaza Strip, Palestine. University College of MAIWP International (UCMI) is fully owned by The Malaysian Federal Territory Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP) under the Ministry in The Prime Minister’s Department. Brief history of the institution started in 1993 as Nursing School under Pusat Rawatan Islam Sdn Bhd which is now formerly known as Pusrawi Hospital. The institution’s main function is to train clinical assistants and nursing assistants only. In 2003, the institution was registered as Kolej Kejururawatan Pusrawi and offers only Diploma in Nursing Sciences Course to SPM leaver. In 2010 a new management was appointed to change the whole scenario and direction of the institution. The first approach that the new management has taken is to rebrand the whole institution in Oct 2010, with a change of name to Pusrawi International College of Medical Sciences who is also known as PICOMS. Starting with only one program in 2010, now UCMI has offered 32 programmes from Post Basic/Certificate, Diploma, Degree, Master to PhD levels which are fully recognised by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency and the Ministry of Higher Education. Even though the main focus of UCMI is education we have taken initiative to explore another source of income in entrepreneurship activities. UCMI Trade and Service Centre (PTSC) were established to realise this. Three units were formed under this centre that is the PICOMS Healthcare Centre (PHC), UCMI Academy and PICOMS Trade Centre (PTC).

Now known as the UCO School of Osteopathy, part of Health Sciences University (UCO). Formed in 1917 as the British School of Osteopathy, the UCO School of Osteopathy has come a long way in its first century, from its evolution to the University College of Osteopathy in 2017, and more recently becoming part of Health Sciences University.
