The University of Alabama School of Social Work seeks to solve biopsychosocial problems, improve individual and social conditions, and promote justice and human dignity through teaching, research, and service. Teaching: The School awards the Bachelor of Social Work degree, which prepares graduates for generalist social work practice; the Master of Social Work degree, which prepares graduates for advanced social work practice; and the Doctor of Philosophy degree, which prepares graduates for careers in research.
