Uchoose is a Brisbane based Australian company that provides consumers and small business with a free and simple way to shop, choose and switch Electricity and Gas Providers. The business was launched responding to the increasing demand from consumers and small businesses frustrated with finding the best energy offer to suit their needs, the lack of time to do anything about it and importantly where to find the right advice. The Founders, with over 20 years energy market experience, decided to help with the problem by building a technology platform that brings a range of offers into one easy to use location and through a decision making process driven by the customers needs and preferences, provides a shortlist eliminating hours of shopping around. The business follows a simple principle that customers want to be empowered by easy, transparent choice and Uchoose delivers this through its website and customer contact centre and back it up with truly unbiased advice in matching the best offer to the customers' needs. At Uchoose the aim is to make things positively easy and believe when it comes to the searching for best value as a customer it's your time, it's your money and it should be your choice.

A professional leadership development program under the Center for Student Leadership within Student Life & Leadership at the University of California, Irvine. Each year, approximately 30 undergraduates are selected to participate in the UCI Administrative Intern Program. Under the guidance of carefully chosen UCI mentors, Administrative Interns work 6 to 10 hours per week in campus departments where they assume responsibility for projects to enhance their leadership and professional skills. Students selected for this year-long program also enroll in a three-quarter seminar through the Paul Merage School of Business. Administrative Interns work closely with their mentors to determine the focus of their internship. Interns potentially have the opportunity to engage in work in their career of interest within the scope of the department striving to develop intrapersonal and professional skills to enhance their capacity.

The Clean Energy Institute at UC Irvine elevates and facilitates collaborations and industry connections for UCI's world class engineering and physical science research teams to discover and create needed clean energy technologies and solutions. We're a platform for energy science and engineering, the advancement to real-world application of clean energy technologies, and public education in support of the breakthroughs required to enable a post-fossil fuel energy future.

At UC Irvine's Gavin Herbert Eye Institute and Department of Ophthalmology, our faculty of internationally recognized physicians, surgeons and scientists provide highly specialized training to future ophthalmologists, access to leading-edge clinical trials as well as sight-saving treatments and therapies for virtually any eye disorder. Eye surgeons, stem cell researchers, geneticists, infectious disease specialists and engineers are working on technologies and treatments for macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, corneal disease and cataracts as well as a vaccine to prevent eye and genital herpes infections. These efforts have vaulted UC Irvine School of Medicine into the top echelons of U.S. institutions receiving National Institutes of Health grants for vision research. It is part of the institute's academic mission to work collaboratively with the eye-care industry in Orange County, which has highest concentration of technology and pharmaceutical companies devoted to vision care.
