The Claire Trevor School of the Arts has proven itself to be a national leader in training emerging artists and performers since its establishment in 1965. It was originally known as the University of California, Irvine’s School of Fine Arts, but with its expansion of programs and focus over the years, it evolved into the School of the Arts. In 2000, the School was named in honor of Academy Award-winning actress Claire Trevor and her involvement with the School and its students. The Claire Trevor School of the Arts is a national leader in training future generations of artists and scholars who will go on to electrify audiences in theatres, galleries and concert halls -- as well as in entertainment and technology-related venues throughout the world.

UCI Division of Continuing Education is the continuing education arm of the University of California, Irvine. Founded in 1962, The Division of Continuing Education is dedicated to providing a university-level learning experience for students, offering thousands of exciting courses and programs to local, regional, and global constituencies via online curriculum, as well as through on campus classes. We offer a rich array of academic and community programs to support a diverse audience, from a wide selection of academic programs to numerous campus activities. ITG's mission The UCI Invention Transfer Group (ITG)—formerly the Office of Technology Alliances (OTA)—exists to foster faculty/industry alliances and commercialization of UC Irvine technology for the broad public benefit. ITG emphasizes accessibility, timeliness, and flexibility in its operations and negotiations to ensure that the federal, state and private investment in UCI research has the greatest possible positive impact on people and the economy. At the end of fiscal year 2015 (6/30/2015), ITG managed: - Approximately 950 inventions in its portfolio - More than 400 active US patents - 143 active license or option agreements ITG has participated in founding more than 100 companies .

Founded in 1949, UCLA School of Law is the youngest major law school in the nation and has established a tradition of innovation in its approach to teaching, research and scholarship. With approximately 100 faculty and 1,100 students, the school pioneered clinical teaching, is a leader in interdisciplinary research and training and is at the forefront of efforts to link research to its effects on society and the legal profession.

UC Merced opened Sept. 5, 2005, as the newest campus in the University of California system and the first American research university of the 21st century. The University of California, Merced, has been designated a “doctoral-granting university with higher research activity” — or R2, the second-highest classification for American research universities — in its first appearance on the highly cited Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. Situated near Yosemite National Park, the campus significantly expands access to the UC system for students throughout the state, with a special mission to increase college-going rates among students in the San Joaquin Valley. It also serves as a major base of advanced research, a model of sustainable design and construction, and a stimulus to economic growth and diversification throughout the region. In June 2020, UC Merced completed the Merced 2020 Project, a $1.3 billion public-private partnership (P3) that doubled its footprint. The project is the largest public-private partnership social infrastructure project completed in U.S. history and will enable the UC’s newest and fastest-growing campus to accommodate up to 10,000 students.
