The University of Gdansk was founded in 1970 by combining higher schools: the Higher School of Economics in Sopot and the Higher Pedagogical School in Gdansk; later the Higher School was also included. The first of the precursors of the University of Gdansk was the Higher School of Marine Trade in Sopot, which was established in 1945. The University of Gdansk is the largest institution of higher education in the Pomeranian region. It offers the possibility of studying in almost thirty different fields with over a hundred specialisations. There are almost thirty-three thousand students in the nine faculties and the Foreign Language Teacher Training College, which employ one thousand seven hundred academic staff members. Such fields as Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Psychology and Pedagogy are among the best in the country. In the field of European programmes, such as Socrates/Erasmus, the students have the opportunity to broaden their knowledge abroad and to gain new experiences. University of Gdansk students also participate in the MOST programme, which enables them to study for one semester at any of Polands eighteen universities. The UG Careers Office, which is the leader among vocational counsellors in the Pomorskie Voivodeship, helps graduates to find employment and to undertake decisions concerning vocational development. The numerous foreign placements experienced by the academic staff of the University help in the increasingly more modern and open education of students.

It was founded on 1364. JU MC is formed by 3 faculties: Faculty of Medicine – instituted in 1364, Poland’s oldest unit schooling physicians, Faculty of Pharmacy and Faculty of Health Sciences. All faculties cooperate with numerous European and American universities, currently putting into effect many bilateral agreements with institutions from a number of countries. We are accredited by the U.S. Department of Education and Medical Board of California. Part of JU MC is the School of Medicine in English. Its rapid development resulted in currently educating nearly 700 students coming from five continents and cooperates with institutions playing an important role in the American and European educational systems. Didactic base for clinical teaching includes the University Hospital – one of the most innovative in Europe, University Children’s Hospital, University Hospital of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation in Zakopane, University Clinic of Dentistry, and select clinical departments located in Krakow. Our prestige in Poland and abroad is illustrated by widely recognised research achievements and rise of the number of patent applications and patents year by year. The scientists and physicians from the JU Medical College carry out pioneer studies, e.g. in cardiac surgery, urology, and neurology, often leading to development of novel treatment methods. Their findings have been published in some of the most prestigious international journals, like New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of Medicinal Chemistry and Lancet. JUMC continue the work of our renowned graduates and professors in order to meet the new challenges of modern times.

Uniwersytet Jana Kochanowskiego w Kielcach, jako uniwersytet klasyczny, powstał w 2011 roku. Jego historia sięga jednak korzeniami roku 1969, a zatem 55 lat wstecz, gdy w Kielcach powstała Wyższa Szkoła Nauczycielska. W 1969 roku studia na sześciu kierunkach rozpoczęło w niej 249 studentów. W 1974 roku kielecka WSN została przekształcona w Wyższą Szkołę Pedagogiczną, która w 1979 roku zyskała patrona – Jana Kochanowskiego. W roku 2000 uzyskała status Akademii Świętokrzyskiej imienia Jana Kochanowskiego. W 2008 roku powstał przymiotnikowy Uniwersytet Humanistyczno-Przyrodniczego Jana Kochanowskiego w Kielcach. W 2011 r. Uniwersytet Jana Kochanowskiego w Kielcach uzyskał status uniwersytetu klasycznego i obecną nazwę. Obecnie strukturę UJK tworzą Collegium Medicum oraz wydziały: Humanistyczny, Nauk Ścisłych i Przyrodniczych, Pedagogiki i Psychologii, Prawa i Nauk Społecznych, Sztuki, a także Filia UJK w Sandomierzu. W Collegium Medicum od 1 października 2024 roku wyodrębnione zostały dwa wydziały – Wydział Lekarski i Wydział Nauk o Zdrowiu. Obecnie na 60 kierunkach kształci się blisko 11 tys. studentów. UJK dysponuje nowoczesnym kampusem uniwersyteckim, który powstał przy ulicy Świętokrzyskiej w Kielcach. Posiada też kilka budynków w ścisłym centrum Kielc i miasteczko studenckie w centrum miasta. Badania naukowe i ich komercjalizacja na potrzeby lokalnych firm i instytucji to kluczowe zadanie realizowane na Uniwersytecie Jana Kochanowskiego. Nasi naukowcy zdobywają liczne granty, realizują projekty oraz programy badawcze w skali regionalnej, krajowej i międzynarodowej. Uniwersytet Jana Kochanowskiego jest obecny zarówno przy badaniach historii sanktuarium i zabytków Świętego Krzyża, jak i badaniach nad zderzeniami protonów, hadronów i jąder w laboratoriach CERN pod Genewą. The Cardinal Wyszynski University in Warsaw is a public university that offers education in various fields of science: from humanities to natural sciences and for two years also in medicine. Twelve faculties offer a broad range of courses in 42 areas of study. Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University offers bachelor's, engineering, master's and postgraduate studies in both Polish and English. The University offers also The Doctoral School at UKSW which provides education in 12 disciplines. The Cardinal Wyszynski University in Warsaw excels by experienced academic staff, innovative research projects and friendly atmosphere. The university currently has more than 10,000 students. Maria Curie-Skłodowska University is the largest public university in eastern Poland. As an institution deeply rooted in the region, for over 70 years, it has played a culture and opinion-forming role, and it does contribute significantly to building a knowledge-based economy. Up to date, over 235 thousand students graduated at the UMCS. The university has 11 Faculties in Lublin and the Branch Faculty in Puławy, over 80 study and 250 specializations.
