The UCSD Pre-Dental Society and Student-Run Free Dental Clinic Project, in partnership with the community, provide accessible, quality healthcare for the underserved in a respectful environment in which students, health professionals, patients, and community members learn from one another.

The purpose of this fraternity shall be to foster knowledge of the law for undergraduate students; to provide service to the greater community and campus; to promote a strong sense of fraternalism among members; to uphold the ideals and integrity of Kappa Alpha Pi Pre-Law Co-ed Fraternity; so that each member may advance their intellect while contributing actively to the well-being of others.

The Aging, Metabolism, and Emotions (AME) Center is at the UCSF Center for Health and Community. AME researchers study a range of topics on how people can thrive in both mind and body, especially when under severe adversity (poverty, caregiving, work stress, depression). We conduct basic translational and intervention research with the goal of improving healthspan, from conception to our golden years. We are particularly interested in resilience to aging, enhancing coping and emotion regulation, and daily lifestyle (optimizing restorative behaviors of sleep, activity, social connectivity, purpose in life). AME is the home of Consortium for Obesity Assessment, Study and Treatment (COAST), an interdisciplinary consortium of researchers at UCSF, that aims to reduce the prevalence and adverse consequences of obesity. AME also leads the Sugar, Stress, Environment and Weight (SSEW) Initiative, a UC-wide consortium of research scientists, clinicians, and California policy makers who are working together to reduce the adverse consequences of the obesity epidemic and related metabolic diseases. We focus is on the role of social disadvantage, sugar, and stress on diet and obesity, and multi-level interventions that reduce stress, junk food intake, and improve the wellbeing of the community as well as the staff, faculty, and students at UC Campuses. UCSF Benioff Children’s Physicians (UBCP) is a multispecialty physician foundation, and an associated clinically integrated network. Our primary goal is to foster physician collaboration to deliver the most advanced maternal and pediatric care throughout Northern California and beyond. UBCP provides physicians with: -a participative vehicle from which to advance their clinical practices; -management services to employed physicians and to those affiliated physicians who choose to purchase them; -a menu of services that can be chosen individually, based on practice preferences.
