Welcome to the UNSW Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering Biomedical engineering is focussed on the development and application of engineering concepts and methods to provide new solutions to biological, medical and healthcare problems. Similarly, the vision of the Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering (GSBmE) is to provide the best research and teaching outcomes relevant to the development of applications in the human health sector to help in the diagnosis, treatment and quality of life of Australians with life-threatening or debilitating diseases and conditions. It is an exciting time to be involved in this field. Everyday there are reports of new exciting health technologies and on improvements in health and wellness due to improved diagnostics and therapies. A career in biomedical engineering is the path to take to be part of this multi-disciplinary effort. So come and join us in GSBmE! We are the first such School in Australia and indeed SE Asia. It is an exciting time at the School with world class research being conducted across an extensive range of areas. Our teaching activities concentrate on the Master of Biomedical Engineering program with intakes for people with both engineering and medical backgrounds. In addition the School’s dual degree in biomedical engineering (Bachelor of Engineering / Master of Biomedical Engineering) continues to grow in reputation as Australia's most innovative and high quality educational program allowing undergraduate students to study Biomedical Engineering at a high level with more than 500 students currently enrolled in these programs. Our value proposition is to highlight the necessity of marketing as a skill, and its applicability within all industries, and successful workers. We provide a journey and a path of aid for student members. Starting from initial awareness, then building skill, to eventually connecting students with their potential employers, this step by step process is effective in providing companies with an ideal graduate, and students, exposure into their ideal industry.

The one and only society for maths students and maths aficionados at UNSW, we are one of the largest societies at UNSW - with a member base of over 1,800 students. The society (MathSoc) aims to form a community of mathematics students, and also assist them, whether it be in their studies or to make known to them various career paths they could take in future. To achieve these goals, MathSoc runs several social and academic/careers-based events, and also provides a place to discuss all things mathematics.
