Established in 2015, the UEFA Foundation for Children is a charitable organisation governed by Swiss law. It defends the rights of underprivileged children by using the power of football to improve their lives and to help them develop their potential and find their place in the community. The foundation currently invests so far to 180 projects in 94 countries worldwide. More than 800,000 children have already benefited from the foundation's work since its creation. Criada em 1970, a Universidade Estadual de Londrina (UEL) é, atualmente, uma das mais importantes universidades públicas da Região Sul do Brasil. Localizada às margens da Rodovia Celso Garcia Cid (PR 445), Km 380, no município de Londrina, Norte do Estado do Paraná, possui uma área total de mais de 204 mil m². Em 2010, a UEL ofertava 64 Cursos de Graduação e 189 Cursos de Pós-Graduação, dos quais 61 eram de Mestrado e Doutorado e 128 de Especialização e Especialização Residencial. Em 2011, a universidade possuía 5.212 funcionários, dos quais 3.623 Técnicos Administrativos e 1.589 Docentes, e 20.748 alunos regularmente matriculados, 15.992 de graduação e 4.756 de pós-graduação. Segundo a World University Rankings Quacquarelli Symonds, a UEL ocupa, em 2012, a 69ª posição entre as 250 melhores universidades de 19 países da América Latina, a 19ª posição entre as melhores universidades do Brasil e a 2ª posição no Estado do Paraná, atrás apenas da Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR).
