UTEDYC significa: Unión Trabajadores de Entidades Deportivas y Civiles. Es una asociación sindical de 1° grado que fue fundada el 19 de julio de 1946 y cuenta con personería gremial Nº 309, desde 1956. Representa a trabajadoras y trabajadores de clubes, colegios y cajas profesionales; de los empleados de los sindicatos, hoteles sindicales y colonias de vacaciones, de fundaciones, cooperativas, bibliotecas, asociaciones civiles sin fines de lucro, clubes de campo, barrios cerrados, mutuales, clubes de fútbol, de instituciones dedicadas a la actividad deportiva con o sin fines de lucro, de organismos no gubernamentales de carácter civil, entre otras. Objetivos: Los principales propósitos de la asociación sindical son: representar y defender los derechos laborales y los intereses individuales y colectivos de los afiliados; concertar convenios colectivos de trabajo; defender las conquistas obtenidas y propiciar la ampliación y el progreso de la legislación social y el régimen de derecho de los fueros sindicales. Asimismo, son objetivos fundamentales la protección del afiliado y su familia a través de servicios sociales, asistenciales, planes de ahorro, vivienda propia y de todo cuanto tienda a lograr la felicidad y el bienestar de los trabajadores y sus familias.
