La UISP – Unione Italiana Sport per Tutti ha l’obiettivo di estendere il diritto allo sport a tutti i cittadini operando dal 1948 nel settore della promozione sportiva offrendo molteplici e qualificati servizi alle persone (donne, uomini, giovani, anziani, detenuti minori e adulti, disabili) nelle varie fasi delle attività ricreative (manifestazioni e gare sportive, animazione ludico-ricreativa, attività motoria). Il Consiglio d’Europa definisce lo sport come una qualsiasi forma di attività fisica che, mediante una partecipazione organizzata o meno, abbia come obiettivo il miglioramento delle condizioni fisiche e psichiche, lo sviluppo delle relazioni sociali o il conseguimento di risultati nel corso di competizioni a tutti i livelli. Siamo proiettati al raggiungimento del benessere individuale e, quindi, collettivo, le nostre attività tendono all’inclusione sociale attraverso la pratica motoria e all’accettazione delle diverse motivazioni personali che avvicinano l’individuo alle varie attività caratteristiche sportive.
