When we decided to start Wanderlust Waypoints back in 2017, we were neck-deep in the conversion of the Wanderlust Bus. We were renting a house for way more than we wanted to spend, but at least it gave us the freedom to work on the bus how and when we wanted. We heard similar stories from all kinds of nomads. High rent, limitations on storage and working times, and doing it with no help or expertise. So, we put our heads down and came up with a solution. WE WANT TO MAKE THINGS EASIER FOR EVERY NOMAD ON THE ROAD! Wanderlust Waypoints are about creating what we hope will be the solution to most nomad problems that we’ve all run into. We’ve created a homestead community for skoolies, buses, vans, RVs, and any nomad in between. Every Waypoint is unique because every piece of land is unique. This means that some of our locations have features, amenities, and upgrades that others do not. There are, on the other hand, some things you’ll find at every Waypoint in the network.

Founded in 1993, Wanderlust has spent 26 years creating fantastic travel-related content for the consumer, from the renowned and multi-award winning Wanderlust magazine, to the fast-growing wanderlust.co.uk, our social channels and our events. Wanderlust also runs the UK's biggest Travel Photo of the Year competition, annual Travel Awards for the travel industry, and the World Guide Awards - the only global awards recognising the hard work and dedication of tour guides and leaders. For the travel industry we offer a wide range of services, including: contract publishing (magazines and websites); content provision; creative campaigns; digital solutions; travel intelligence (including bespoke surveys and reports); websites and microsites; consultancy, and other services. As an example, Wanderlust runs the annual Thailand Green Excellence Awards UK on behalf of the Tourism Authority of Thailand. In 2014 we teamed up with the Adventure Travel Show to launch the much-lauded Adventure Travel Conference (ATC) - a B2B event that now incorporates a Supplier Marketplace, Awards, networking and a packed programme of talks and seminars. Wanderlust's co-founder Lyn Hughes regularly gives talks and workshops (both trade and consumer), moderates panels and round-tables, and provides consultancy.
