El World Latin Dance Cup fue un proyecto fundado, liderado y producido por Albert Torres, desde sus inicios hasta 2016. A partir del 2017 estuvo a cargo de Eider Rúa y Edwin Rivera; sin embargo, en 2019, el bailarín y empresario Eider Rúa adquirió la totalidad de la organización. La motivación de la organización y de su equipo de trabajo es mantener y promover el legado que Albert Torres dejó para el mundo de la danza. Su vida y pasión dedicada a crear espacios para que bailarines de todo el mundo puedan mostrar su talento y profesionalizar su carrera artística. Actualmente trabajamos en los 5 continentes fomentando una cultura de baile y siendo la organización que brinda soporte a bailarines de todo el mundo. Por más de una década hemos organizado el World Latin Dance Cup que se ha constituido como el evento internacional más grande e importante de bailes latinos del mundo, reuniendo a más de 3,000 competidores en diferentes categorías y a más de 15,000 seguidores amantes de la danza latina. Nuestro objetivo dentro del evento es abrir espacios para la divulgación y democratización del arte a través de charlas, conferencias y talleres a cargo de perfiles reconocidos en el mundo de la danza. Parte de nuestra misión es contar con políticas que garanticen y promuevan la danza como una profesión y un estilo de vida que requiere formación y el apoyo de otras organizaciones. Contamos con un equipo de colaboradores especializados en temas artísticos y gestión cultural que día a día trabajan por profesionalizar y dar prestigio a quienes dedican su vida a la danza. WMU also offers MSc programmes in China, has a growing PhD programme in Malmö, an LLM and Postgraduate Diplomas by distance learning, and an MPhil degree offered jointly with the IMO International Maritime Law Institute in Malta. WMU undertakes maritime and ocean-related research for IMO and other UN agencies, the EU and for maritime organizations and the industry worldwide.
