Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences (UPWr) is one of the best specialist universities in Poland. It conducts training and research in the field of agricultural and natural sciences as well as the engineering and technical ones. In the area of research and scientist employment, UPWr follows the standards of the Human Resources Excellence in Research logo, awarded to the University by the European Commission in 2017, and in the didactic area it strives to provide education able to meet the current requirements of the labour market. Every year, Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences is listed among the universities with the largest number of patents. Of the five international scientific and research projects currently carried out at UPWr under the Horizon 2020 programme, SynBio4Flav has obtained over 500 thousand EUR of funding, and Gathers became the best-evaluted project in Europe financed in the amount of over 800 thousand euros. Poland’s first implementation of development research co-financed by the European Union is the technology of permanent water retention in soil, developed at UPWr. In the Perspektywy ranking – the most prestigious and comprehensive ranking of universities in Poland – UPWr gained the first place in 2021 among agricultural universities and the 23rd among all universities in the country. In addition, food science degree programme has once again been voted the best in the country. Our veterinary medicine programme has a positive assessment of the European Association of Faculties of Veterinary Medicine (EAEVE), which confirms the highest quality of education at the faculty.

Wrocław University of Science and Technology is an inheritor of the tangible property of the German University Königliche Technische Hochschule Breslau, and also the intellectual and scientific heritage of Lviv Polytechnic. The University, as Wroclaw University of Technology, has been operating since 1945.

WRVO Public Media is a non-profit, non-commercial, multi-platform news and information service for residents of central and northern New York state and a member station of NPR. Broadcast studios and administrative offices are located on the campus of SUNY Oswego. WRVO employs about 13 professional staff in management, business, news, corporate underwriting sales, operations, and engineering. A satellite studio is located in downtown Syracuse. The multi-station network serves more than 20 counties in central and northern New York from transmitters in Oswego, Syracuse, Utica, Watertown, Clayton and Fenner.
