Seit der Gründung im Jahr 1948 sind die Wuppertaler Stadtwerke (WSW) in vielen Bereichen aktiv: zuverlässige Energieversorgung, innovative Energiedienstleistungen, sauberes Trinkwasser, zukunftsweisende Mobilität, umweltgerechte Stadtentwässerung sowie gesellschaftliches und ökologisches Engagement. Zum WSW-Konzern mit der WSW Wuppertaler Stadtwerke GmbH als Holding gehören zu 100 Prozent die WSW mobil GmbH, zu 66,9 Prozent die WSW Energie & Wasser AG und zu 70,47 Prozent die AWG Abfallwirtschaftsgesellschaft mbH. Die Zahl der Mitarbeitenden liegt aktuell bei 3.350. Die WSW gehören zu den wichtigsten Wirtschaftsunternehmen in Wuppertal. WTA unites the rural telecommunications industry to advocate the interests of its member companies and their customers on Capitol Hill and before regulatory agencies in Washington, D.C. Whether it’s the rural plains of the Midwest, the Rockies or Appalachians, the remote rural towns, villages or wilderness areas of Alaska or Native American land, WTA member companies have the experience and desire to ensure that Americans living in sparsely populated and hard-to-serve areas enjoy the same telecommunications services as those living in America’s suburbs and cities.
