Wyoming Health Fairs/Wellness Health Fairs, (WHF), recently celebrated thirty years as a non-profit, low cost blood screenings organization, currently serving over 60,000 individuals! Our mission is to inspire and empower personal well-being ~ one person, one health screening and one partnership at a time! At WHF, we believe in monitoring our health, good or worrisome, before it becomes serious to your health and finances. Screenings can be the most important step in being a part of a solution. We have a responsibility to ourselves, our families, and our health care systems to be part of the solution. WHF serves over 500 corporate clients in the United States, many nation-wide multi-location clients and over 20 Wyoming communities. Each customizes their program and personalizes branding of the events. WHF facilitates and communicates with each site and individual. Our excellent reputation comes from our appreciation of our long standing relationships. WHF is proudly connected with LabCorp of America, Cerner Corporation and WELCOA. WHF uniquely stands apart from all other screening organizations with our customized automated systems and database. WHF has invested largely in state of the art equipment and in-house computer programming to create a custom data-base of all clients and storage of the data. Our aggregate reporting stands alone! For nearly 50 years, Wyoming Humanities has been the sole nonprofit public humanities organization in the state. Through community grants and programs the council fosters community building through conversation and critical thinking the core of an informed, engaged citizenry. The Wyoming Humanities Council is an independent nonprofit organization supporting public programs that draw on history, literature, philosophy, languages, linguistics, art history, law, religion, ethics, anthropology, sociology, political science, folklore, or any of the other fields of the humanities. The councils programs have included conferences, exhibits, interpretive guides, collections preservation, publications, workshops, and lecture series, Humanities Forum, Reading Wyoming, Museums on Main Street, and Humanities at Work. Many of the councils programs are carried out by other organizations which have applied to the council for funds and have been awarded project grants. The council also designs and conducts programming on its own. Based in Laramie on the University of Wyoming campus and with a field office in Jackson, WH has a staff of 7. Direction of the council is vested in the up-to twenty members of the council who serve as the board of directors. Board members meet three times a year to review and provide strategic vision, oversee the budget, act on fundraising initiatives, assist with fundraising activities, and supervise the councils role as an exemplary nonprofit organization.
