Watch it Made is a business based on an educational program. The aim is to enthuse children into engineering by receiving them in a manufacturing studio for them to design, manufacture and assemble a watch. They will learn the basic processes of mechanical engineering such as the milling and turning, as well as the ink-jet printing using ultra violet cured ink. At the end of the experience, not only have they designed, manufactured and assembled their watch, they get to take their own quality timepiece home with them and have something that is unique to themselves. Based on Cranfield University's campus, a learning manufacturing studio has been designed to receive the children and provide this challenging, entertaining and practical engineering experience. The initial target audience was pre-GCSE school age (12-13 yo.), but evidence suggests that both younger and older children are interested in the concept, hence Watch it Made is not limited to just this age bracket.
Watch Skins uses its patent pending blockchain technology to provide limited edition digital art that people can wear on their smartwatch faces. The rapidly expanding digital smartwatch market provides a new opportunity to offer unique collectible content that can be displayed by users, while giving brands and artists a new outlet for offering exclusive experiences and fashion items. Leveraging blockchain technology gives brands the ability to provide certifiably licensed products, and allows consumers to know they are getting authentic collectibles rather than bootlegs. The Watch Skins app is downloaded onto a mobile device, paired with almost any smartwatch on the market, and allows users to purchase blockchain authenticated smartwatch faces. This provides a new method for acquiring exclusive virtual collectibles as a wearable fashion.
