WAY is the story of a 6-month journey to meet the actors who think and act for a more responsible and conscious travel. The beginnings of a documentary that questions the meaning of travel and helps us understand how to travel with less environmental impact.

WAY Alliance is a North Texas 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping youth with foster care experience (ages 14-24) develop the relationships, resources, and skills they need to thrive in adulthood. Our programming includes one-to-one mentoring, connections to local resources for housing, education, jobs, etc., life skills training, and recreational opportunities. OUR VISION is a community where all youth in North Texas transitioning from foster care to independence: • are connected to caring adults who support them. • have a safe place to live. • are mentally, physically, and spiritually healthy. • are secure in who they are and where they've been. • are motivated to achieve their goals. • are earnestly pursuing an education or training that will set them up for future success. To turn that vision into reality, OUR MISSION is to: • connect youth ages 14-24 who have experienced foster care with a supportive adult who has been trained as a strengths-based, trauma-informed mentor. • meet the physical, educational, and financial needs of the youth by connecting them to resources in the community. • introduce youth to new opportunities where they can learn and practice important life skills. OUR CORE VALUES are summarized in the following statements: • We demonstrate the love of Christ to youth in all of our actions. • We are trustworthy and responsible. • We act with compassion and integrity. • We promote the welfare and safety of youth. • We promote justice for youth. • We honor youths'​ voices in designing and delivering our services. • We respect the rights, dignity, and intrinsic worth of youth.

Way Back When was born fifteen years ago when Katherine Sheedy and Sarah Rood were studying the Master of Public History at Monash University. Enamoured with the idea of spending their professional lives working with people and the past, they took the first steps toward setting up the consultancy. By 2005 Way Back When had completed its first commission and had been engaged to carry out two more. The rest, as we like to say, is history. As well as commissioned histories Way Back When began to work on exhibitions, oral history projects, heritage reports and multimedia histories. Today we remain as committed as ever to representing the past in a meaningful and dynamic way. We are driven by the desire to foster connections to the past that inform and give meaning to the present.
