Waikato's vibrant business growth hub Waikato Innovation Park provides a dynamic business campus where collaboration between business and research organisations drives commercial growth for our resident companies. The first building - Gallagher Core Facilities Building - was opened in February 2004, and the Tetra Pak - now CRV Ambreed - building was completed in 2009. In 2012, the Park built FoodWaikato, a spray drying facility for New Zealand Food Innovation. Since then, a wet-side capability has been constructed for FoodWaikato and Tetra Pak have moved into a new building, which accommodates the whole of its Oceania design team and mechanical testing and proving workshop. Spread across 17 hectares of land, the plan is to construct a total of 16 buildings to house clusters of companies in the agritechnology, ICT and food and beverage sectors. Today, the Park houses over 50 companies employing more than 400 people on site. 73% of the Parks companies are exporters, and collectively earnings are well in excess of $400million in 2016. The size and scale of our tenant mix is varied from early stage companies like Quantec and Zygem through to multi-nationals like TetraPak and CRV Ambreed. FoodWaikato is a subsidiary company of Waikato Innovation Park, and has successfully established itself as a quality spray drying plant offering open access to NZ producers and product developers. Waikato Innovation Park is proud to be the Regional Business Partner for the Waikato region. The Regional Business Partner offers business growth services and funding on behalf of NZTE, Callaghan Innovation and Business Mentors NZ, and effectively act as a first port of call to any business looking to expand, innovate and export. We've assisted hundreds of businesses to access funding for R&D or for management skills coaching, and we've offered advice, connections and sign posting for many hundreds more.

The WBS founding mission was to deliver memorable ocean experiences to its guests through interaction with its skilled watermen, the Waikiki Beachboys. While the beach around us has changed over the years, the purpose and mission of Waikiki Beach Services has remained the same: 1. At Waimea Truck and Crane we take great pride in being market-leaders and the preferred partner for the utilities sector for advice, sales and rental of truck-mount solutions. We believe that every person who works with access or lifting equipment in the New Zealand utilities sector can improve their productivity and safety with Waimea because of our extensive specialist knowledge, hands-on experience and a product offering that is fit for purpose. Our truck-mount access and lifting solutions are designed and built especially for New Zealand conditions and well-balanced from all sides; weight distribution, dimensional and functional. As a family-focused business, first and foremost, we are in the business of building long-term partnerships. Weve built long-term partnerships with our overseas suppliers and use their quality booms and cranes to build innovative solutions. Many of our staff have been with us for a long time and most people in our office have hands-on experience operating and setting up lift and access equipment. They get a kick out of designing and building bucket or crane trucks that are easy to use and fit for purpose. This in turn helps us build strong partnerships with our customers. We find out exactly what their needs are before recommending a solution that will help them get the job done, whether its a brand-new build-up or a rental. We provide extensive training to operators to ensure they use the equipment correctly and safely. We even have dedicated after-sales support staff because we believe a long-term relationship with our customers only just begins when they sign the contract. By building partnerships, we help lift productivity and safety in the utilities sector.
