The Wellington Rugby Football Union is the guardian of all rugby in Wellington from junior rugby, club rugby, representative rugby through to the professional teams. Established in 1896 the Wellington Rugby Football Union has a proud history and has produced many fine rugby players including former All Blacks Andy Leslie, Billy Wallace, Ken Gray, Christian Cullen, Tana Umaga, Jonah Lomu and many more.

Wellington School is an independent day school for girls and boys between the ages of 3 and 18 years. There are approximately 580 pupils within the school. In the past seven years, Wellington has been in the top ten of Scottish schools, coming top of the league tables in 2008 for Highers, and top in 2012 for Advanced Highers.
