WEPA Professional ontwikkelt en produceert onderscheidend innovatieve en duurzame toilethygiënemerken voor de zakelijke markt: Satino en Satino Black. Daarnaast richten we ons op het realiseren van unieke kringloopconcepten met verantwoorde grondstoffen. We zetten afvalstromen in om er nieuwe, duurzame producten van te maken met toegevoegde waarde. De fabriek in Swalmen is daarbij een grondstoffenrotonde. Satino Black is een totaalconcept en zet de nieuwe standaard op het gebied van duurzaamheid. Satino Black wordt CO2-neutraal geproduceerd, voert de keurmerken FSC Recycled en Europees Ecolabel en is het enige complete toilethygiëneconcept ter wereld dat het Cradle to Cradle keurmerk mag voeren. Bovendien worden er in het productieproces geen schadelijke chemicaliën gebruikt waardoor Satino Black compleet veilig is voor mens en milieu. Daarnaast is het onze continue ambitie om maximaal te participeren in de circulaire economie. Om dit te kunnen coördineren is Future Lab by Satino opgericht. Een platform dat dient om innovaties te visualiseren en te communiceren en is bedoeld om markt- en concepttesten uit te voeren. Gedreven door ons vertrouwen dat het opzetten van lokale kringlopen van grote waarde is om een gezond leefklimaat door te geven aan volgende generaties, hebben wij een uniek proces ontwikkeld. Dit proces stelt ons in staat om lokale, alternatieve grondstoffen veilig en in wisselende samenstellingen en volumes te verwerken. Naast oud papier zetten wij gebruikte koffiebekers, drankenkartons, flessenlabels en zelfs olifantsgras in als grondstof voor de productie van nieuw hygiënepapier. Op dit moment onderzoeken wij ook de mogelijkheden om ook gebruikt handdoekpapier een nieuw leven te geven. Future Lab by Satino richt zich momenteel op nieuwe businessmodellen rondom kringloopsluiting. In mei 2017 wordt Van Houtum overgenomen door WEPA Hygieneprodukten GmbH en continueren we onze activiteiten binnen de Away from Home divisie van WEPA.
