WestCord Hotel Delft: WestCord Hotel Delft (4-stars) is ideally situated on the A13 between Rotterdam and The Hague (Den Haag), next to IKEA. The hotel has 140 modern, freshly designed hotel rooms with air conditioning, free wifi internet and a Nespresso coffee maker. 17 of which are long-stay apartments with facilities, especially for the business guests. Free wireless internet is available throughout the hotel. For meetings or receptions, the 9 modern banqueting rooms offer excellent possibilities. The Atrium can host a reception for up to 350 persons! Relax in the fitness area or in the sauna. Afterwards, unwind with a drink in the bar, on the (heated) terrace or have a bite to eat at Restaurant BLUE Dining. Delft is certainly the place to stay and enjoy the city: Delftware, Orange (Royal family of Orange), Vermeer or stroll alongside historic sites and take a cruise. It all started in 1968 when baker Emo Westers bought Hotel de Wadden on the island of Vlieland for his son Harry. Tourism to the Dutch Wadden Islands was on the rise at that time and father Emo saw the potential. Because of his young age Harry needed special exemption from the Queen in order to be able to run the hotel. That’s how it all started. After 15 years of battling with local authorities and residents finally in 1987 Strandhotel Seeduyn on Vlieland could open its doors, after that more hotel openings followed. First, a cross over was made to the neighboring islands of Terschelling and Ameland and in 2001 we took the plunge and built our first hotel on the ‘mainland’, in Amsterdam . Now we have 15 hotels spread across the Netherlands.
