Windmill Wellness Ranch is recognized by the State of Texas as a COSPD (co-occurring psychiatric disorders) inpatient and outpatient treatment center specializing in trauma therapies, substance use disorders and mental health serving patients from all over the United States. Windmill Wellness Ranch is also the only substance use disorder facility using iTMS™ technology to heal the brain located on site at our Brain Frequency Center. In May of 2017, Shannon Malish opened Windmill Wellness Ranch, believing that a holistic approach to recovery is necessary for a client’s growth and complete healing. The programs offered at Windmill Wellness Ranch and the patient’s experience are her passion. Because of Shannon's background, she has vast knowledge and experience in leading and directing co-occurring, substance-use-disorder treatment facilities. This experience evolved to research that proved what is needed to sustain long-term recovery. Because of this research, we now have methods for treatment to address underlying issues with therapy instead of relying on a "band-aid" fix. Shannon found that a fraction of patients were still relapsing despite all therapeutic efforts. She saw where the “band-aid treatment” did not work and, thus, it was time for evidence based and researched treatment.
