Entstanden aus dem Wunsch der Winzer, sich vor allem aus wirtschaftlichen Gründen zusammenzuschließen, wurde sie im Laufe der Zeit zu einer großen Gemeinschaft. Eine Gemeinschaft, die heute ihren Erfolg einem konsequenten Qualitätsanspruch und ausgefeilten Vermarktungskonzepten verdankt. Im Zentrum der Aufmerksamkeit und des Schaffens sowohl im Weinberg als auch im Keller steht die Qualität der Weine. Die Erzeugung marktorientierter Weinprofile hat die Winzergemeinschaft zum zuverlässigen und starken Partner des Lebensmitteleinzelhandels gemacht. In den Regionalsortimenten der GWF spiegeln sich die individuellen Besonderheiten der jeweiligen Weinbaugemeinde und die Handschrift der Winzer. Regelmäßige Prämierungen und Auszeichnungen vom Fränkischen Weinbauverband und von renommierten nationalen und internationalen Weinwettbewerben geben diesem Konzept sowie der Arbeit von Winzern und Kellermeistern recht.
