Der Wachstumsfonds Mittelstand Sachsen ist ein regionaler Fonds für den Mittelstand. Er unterstützt etablierte, sächsische Unternehmen mit Wachstumspotential in Form von Eigenkapital und Know-how in nunmehr dritter Fondsgeneration. Das derzeitige Fondsvolumen des WMS beträgt M€ 85. Die Finanzierungsformen sind individuell auf das Unternehmen zugeschnitten: Direkte und/oder stille Beteiligungen in Form von Private Equity und Mezzanine-Kapital sind möglich. Typische Finanzierungsanlässe sind Nachfolgeregelungen und Wachstumsvorhaben. Letzteres umfasst sowohl organisches Wachstum als auch die Finanzierung von Zukäufen im Zuge einer buy-and-build-Strategie. Seit 2005 wurden über 30 sächsische Mittelständler durch die WMS-Fonds finanziert. Der WMS ist dabei Kapitalgeber und erfahrener Partner auf Zeit, der hilft, die weitere Unternehmensentwicklung finanziell und inhaltlich zu gestalten.
