The British Chamber of Commerce in Denmark is a bilateral organisation. Whether you are a busy top executive looking for a highly focused networking opportunity, or a representative of a small company looking for new business contacts, the Chamber provides various formal and informal platforms and events for such networking opportunities. It is a self-financing organisation that gets its primary income from member subscriptions. The vision of the British Chamber of Commerce in Denmark is to be a “prominent promoter of business and culture between Britain and Denmark”. This means: • We need to provide an environment for effective networking and cultural exchange • We need to understand our members’ needs • We need to actively promote business between UK and Denmark • In conjunction with UKTI, Invest in Denmark and others, we need to be able to broker/advise British businesses starting in Denmark and Danish businesses interested in investing in the UK. To achieve this, we: • Hold attractive business and social events • Facilitate connections between interested parties to improve their business • Work with the British Embassy, UKTI, Danish Embassy in London and the Danish UK Chamber of Commerce in London • Perform analysis on issues relevant to members • Help raise the profile of Britain e.g by awarding scholarships to Danes wishing to study in Britain • Co-operate with other Chambers, e.g. we are members of COBCOE

The BCCG - the largest British Chamber of Commerce in Europe - is a privately-funded, non-profit-making membership network organisation. It was founded 1919 in Cologne and 1921 in Hamburg, closed in the early 1930s, and re-established in 1960 in Bonn/Cologne. The British Ambassador to Germany, H.E. Jill Gallard CMG, and the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the United Kingdom, H.E. Miguel Berger, are the patrons of the BCCG. Twelve honorary BCCG Regional Committees support the BCCG and Young BCCG members in Germany and the UK. BCCG and its large British-German entrepreneural and institutional network are first port of call for companies and professionals seeking advice in British-German business and trade. For its services to members and other interested parties, the chamber actively uses this network. The chambers'​ extensive database of members as well as British firms and affiliates doing business in Germany are key for these services. Members of the BCCG comprise about 900 professionals and companies, of which approximately 11% enjoy the special membership status "Sponsoring Membership"​. In addition to that, a number of members (up to the age of 40) have joined our Young BCCG programme. Our network consists of about 6000 personal addressees and we also maintain contact with our members in all European British Chambers also with the Council of British Chambers of Commerce in Europe (COBCOE), the Chamber's umbrella organisation. The BCCG co-operates closely with UK Trade & Investment, the British Government Organisation supporting both companies in the UK trading internationally and overseas enterprises seeking to locate in the UK.

The British Chamber of Commerce Philippines (BCCP) is an independent, non-profit membership organization whose primary objective is to support the development of its members’ business and social interests in the British and Philippine communities, helping them achieve their objectives. Founded in 1997 as the British Business Association, we became a British Chamber of Commerce in 2001. Today, we represent over 200 member companies and individuals with a membership network of over 400 entrepreneurs and senior executives of multinational corporations and SMEs. The British Chamber is a dynamic organization and is the recognized voice of the British business community in the Philippines, promoting members’ interests with government and business bodies in the Philippines and Britain, in collaboration with British Embassy Manila, UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) and other partners.

Established since 1946, British Chamber of Commerce Thailand (BCCT) is the oldest foreign chamber in Thailand. In 2011, the BCCT has a membership of approximately 600 including 550 companies with nearly 2,700 named representatives covering a broad cross-section of business interests in Thailand. Membership is open to companies of all nationalities and sizes. BCCT aims to foster partnerships and strengthen ties between Thailand and the UK. Our activities are dedicated to building networks, connecting business and creating opportunities for our members. BCCT holds a number of presentation and networking evenings, luncheons and breakfast meetings with special guests from the government and business sectors. Events are held in Bangkok and in the Eastern Seaboard.

The British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK) was formed with the intent to educate the public on the practice of kinesiology, act as a resource for those seeking service from a kinesiologist, and provide an opportunity for practicing professionals to network and extend their knowledge of the field. Since 1991, BCAK has been an incorporated society under the B.C. Society Act governed by a volunteer board of directors. Currently over 500 kinesiologists serving the public and major employers such as ICBC, Worksafe BC, many national insurers and municipalities throughout the province.

www.cfenet.ubc.ca When the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS opened in 1992, a British Columbian was dying from AIDS almost every day. While current advances in HIV treatment have made the disease a chronic but manageable illness, much work remains to be done. An estimated 13,000 British Columbians are HIV infected, with close to 350 new cases reported each year. As well, more than 3,200 cases of AIDS have been reported in the province, and a third of these individuals currently live with the disease. Drug resistance, adverse effects to medication, and barriers to accessing treatment and maintaining adherence are just a few of the many issues facing those who are HIV-positive. More importantly, people are still dying from the disease. The BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS (BC-CfE) is dedicated to improving the health of British Columbians with HIV through the development, ongoing monitoring and dissemination of comprehensive research and treatment programs for HIV and related diseases. The Centre is a key provincial resource, serving all health authorities, regions and citizens of BC. The Centre places the disease under the microscope, provides care and treatment to those infected, educates doctors and healthcare professionals throughout the province, and promotes evidence-based social policy that helps protect people from acquiring the virus. The Centre's scope is comprehensive, but so too is the impact of HIV/AIDS. The intent of this website is to not only provide a better understanding of the Centre's activities, but to shed light on the complexities in fighting HIV/AIDS.
