Build & Company was created from years of working in the fashion industry and traveling around the globe. There are two major problems I discovered in each realm. Being a fashion designer taught me an important lesson; the client knows what they want, PERIOD. I discovered there is a void for clients to be their own designer and create what fits perfectly into their lifestyle, budget, and aesthetic. The second problem I discovered happened while I was traveling. I never had enough room in my luggage for all the types of purses, clutches, or a backpack I needed for my trips. I would always have limited options due to space and weight. One day while walking on the streets of Paris the idea for a modular purse came to me. I wanted to create a purse line that could change with my needs, the trends, and something I could pack easily. This is how Build & Company was born. With a prefabricated modular purse the client becomes the designer. You are able to create what fits into your lifestyle, and build your style as you see fit. Build Baton Rouge (BBR) is the Redevelopment Authority of East Baton Rouge Parish and was created by the 2007 Louisiana Legislature. It is governed by a five-member Board of Commissioners, appointed by the Mayor-President, the Baton Rouge Area Foundation, and the Baton Rouge Area Chamber of Commerce.
