Wir sind das regionale Berufsbildungszentrum mit einem flexiblen und vielfältigen Bildungsangebot. Wir vermitteln Kompetenzen für zukunftsfähige Berufe und stärken damit den Arbeitsmarkt. Das Berufsbildungszentrum BBZ Olten besteht seit dem 1. Januar 2018 aus den vier Teilschulen • Gesundheitlich-Soziale Berufsfachschule GSBS • Gewerblich-Industrielle Berufsfachschule GIBS • Kaufmännische Berufsfachschule KBS • Erwachsenenbildungszentrum EBZ Gesamthaft absolvieren rund 4‘200 Lernende und Erwachsene in 25 Berufen ihre berufliche Grund- oder Weiterbildung am BBZ Olten. 260 Lehrpersonen und Dozenten unterrichten mit viel Freude und Engagement die jungen Berufsleute. Das hauptsächliche Arbeitsgebiet vieler Fachlehrer befindet sich weiterhin in der Berufspraxis, was zu einer starken Verknüpfung von wirtschaftlicher Realität und Unterrichtsinhalten führt. Dies ist für die Lernenden ein wichtiger Vorteil. 40 Mitarbeitende der Dienste stellen die Infrastruktur für einen reibungslosen Ablauf des Unterrichts sicher.

Connecting and integrating these sectors as part of a Learning Health System promises to improve our Province’s ability to implement system-wide innovations, and to improve health outcomes and value. BC AHSN has three units to strengthen its reach and impact: the BC SUPPORT Unit, Clinical Trials BC, and Research Ethics BC.

BC AdventureSmart, and its suite of five programs, is a national prevention program that started in BC in 2004 by the BC Search and Rescue Association, focused on reaching residents and visitors to BC, who participate in outdoor recreational activities. Our objective is to increases awareness helping to reduce the number and severity of search-and-rescue incidents in the province of BC, working closely with the 79 SAR groups consisting of 3,000 SAR member volunteers who respond to over 1,900 SAR incidents annually. In order to provide the largest possible number of British Columbians and visitors to BC with consistent and relevant safety information, and to ensure that opportunities to engage the public are maximized, BC AdventureSmart and its partners take a broad, encompassing approach to the delivery of adaptable safety information in-person, and online. Through the collaborative efforts of our various partners like Emergency Management BC and the BC Search and Rescue Association, regional assistants and over 500 BC AdventureSmart volunteer outdoor educators, we're dedicated to encouraging participants to “Get informed and go outdoors”.

The BC Alliance for Manufacturing, an organization built on collaboration, is a cohesive federation of associations to better represent all manufacturing sectors. There is no cost to belong to the Alliance. Working together we can do a better job of representing all sectors of manufacturing in our advocacy efforts as well as addressing common skills and workforce development issues. The BC Alliance for Manufacturing is also a delivery partner for government-funded employment programs such as the Unemployment Training and Employment Program (UTEP), and the Refugee Training and Employment Program (RTEP) that is provided free of charge to employees and employers alike.
