We aim to enrich the lives of children and young people with life limiting conditions in hospices through the creative, performing and literary Arts, enabling individual expression, creativity and communication. We recognize that families may also derive great benefit from the Arts and aim to provide sessions with their children and events arranged especially for parents, carers and siblings of children in hospices. In addition to our volunteer teams, we work with Arts professionals, developing contacts with individuals and organizations who can help us to bring the Arts to hospices. We support art and music therapists and artists in residence by identifying areas where we can help; our volunteers may work closely with them in arts, crafts and music sessions. chART Childrens Hospice Arts is governed by a board of Trustees who ensure that the Trust is administered effectively and that our charitable outcomes are delivered. All of us at chART work voluntarily. The chART Trustees are all experienced fund-raisers, which includes working for childrens charities. Our experience has shown us that there is a need for further funding to bring more diverse Arts experiences to childrens hospices and their families, hence founding chART. We are members of the Small Charities Coalition and CTN, the Trustee Network.

Children’s Hospice South West cares for families with children and young people who have a life-limiting or life-threatening condition, who are unlikely to live to adulthood. At our three beautiful children’s hospices in Devon, Cornwall and Bristol, we support parents, brothers and sisters and the affected child from diagnosis towards bereavement and beyond. We can relieve the burden of caring for a sick child from families and allow them to spend precious time together focusing on just being a family. To face the reality of losing your child means those who desperately need our help face an uncertain and fragile future. We walk alongside them providing respite care, palliative and ultimately end of life care for their child. We need to raise just under £12 million a year to run our three hospices. The money that we receive from the Government is not guaranteed each year, therefore we need to rely entirely on voluntary contributions to safeguard our service into the future. Manning Family Children’s is a 263-bed, not-for-profit pediatric medical center offering a comprehensive range of healthcare services for children from birth to 21 years. Our Mission The Childrens Hospital of Michigan Foundation supports pediatric research, education, community benefit programs, and other initiatives that improve the health of children in Michigan. The Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba (CHRIM) is the research division of the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba. At the institute, more than 270 world-class pediatric medical researchers, technical staff, students, and support staff are involved in nearly $20 million of research and clinical trial activity each year. CHRIM is the first research facility dedicated exclusively to pediatric research in the prairie provinces. CHRIM brings together top researchers from a variety of health disciplines who share a common goal of improving the health of children and youth. By including a wide range of disciplines, CHRIM has the unique ability to look at the overall picture of pediatric health – not just one area. The Institute fosters a collaborative and innovative research environment, offering hope to children and their families as researchers work towards medical breakthroughs and cures for childhood illness. The Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba is the main operating funding source for the Institute. The Foundation invests directly into research by providing core funding for research projects, and provides administrative and infrastructure supports for researchers. With the support of the Foundation and the resources provided by the Institute, CHRIM investigators have more opportunities and better success in applying for external funding.

We provide education for students from across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland who are too ill to attend their usual school. Our students are aged 318, and are taught across three school sites and at home through our outreach team. The school provides education for approximately 950 students each academic year a number that is increasing. The length of stay for these students can be from two days to several years. Our students have a range of medical needs, both physical and mental. Some may have chronic and/or life-threatening medical conditions that bring them into hospital many times in their childhood and adolescence. Some have degenerative medical conditions or acquired brain injuries or are recovering from major surgery. A significant number have social, emotional and/or complex mental health needs. The four areas of the school: Leicester Royal Infirmary (LRI): Educates any child of school age during their time as an inpatient. Some children regularly attend the hospital for treatment over many years. Willow Bank Day School: A day school for up to 60 students aged 1116 who are unable to access education in their own school, mostly for mental health reasons. We offer an academic and therapeutic curriculum which is designed to meet students academic requirements while taking account of their other needs. Ward 3, Coalville Hospital: This is a psychiatric inpatient unit for young people. Young people are admitted either in a state of crisis, or when their circumstances and presentation become complex and they have to be assessed. We provide access to education for inpatients, providing a range of activities within a safe and enabling setting. Outreach team: Home tuition teachers for primary and secondary students who are unable to attend their own school for medical reasons. The outreach team teaches the courses that the students would be covering at their own school.

Every 90 minutes, someone in Michigan is told they have blood cancer. While situations never look exactly alike, these diseases suddenly change everything, creating a ripple effect that is unfathomable and can be devastating. Patients and families face an abundance of emotional, financial and social hardship, and that is where Childrens Leukemia Foundation of Michigan (CLF) comes in -- to help families cope and heal throughout their experience. CLF is a statewide organization that provides education and support services (including emotional support, financial assistance and fun experiences) for adults and children across Michigan who are affected by leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and other blood related disorders. CLF offers a variety of valuable programs that help meet patients and families acute needs. Since its founding in 1952, CLF has helped more than 3,200 individuals across the state. Fundraising* is crucial for continuation of CLFs programs and services. And, because its primary focus is to support patients and families, the majority of funding directly benefits those it serves.
