Face HR is an HR Consulting and executive coaching business. I'm Rose Gledhill and I help professional women to make effective career decisions during a period of transition in their working lives. This might be a return from career break, a new job or a plan to leave their current role. I am an experienced senior business leader who works at Board level to drive change and improve operational effectiveness, I use my senior business experience in a range of international businesses to understand the professional and personal drivers of my clients within the context of my coaching training. What is coaching? Coaching is working with someone to help them develop their own thinking to find the answer to a challenging situation or to make a difficult decision. It is reflecting back to someone the things they are saying and helping them to make sense of them. My approach My emphasis is invariably on change. I provide a positive influence at what can be a challenging time. I am action-focused and forward looking, seeking to understand motivations and beliefs which drive behaviour. I use psychometric tools and 360 feedback to build credibility, improve performance and realise potential. My style is heavy on the listening, asking insightful questions to enlighten the client's thinking. The benefits of coaching For an employer, coaching represents a targeted investment in a valued member of the team. When I am working for an organisation, goals are agreed with the employer and employee up front and reviewed as and when required. For an individual, coaching aims at clarity and focus, working with strengths and building the confidence to take control of their situation. People can understand their values better, make considered decisions with conviction and a firm desire to succeed. Thoughts and feelings are shared and acknowledged, enabling them to be harnessed into actions and a drive towards achieving goals.

OUR MISSION Face It, through educational programs and other public initiatives, helps men understand the risks associated with depression and works with those who are depressed find a path to recovery. PHILOSOPHY The needs of men with clinical depression are unique, misunderstood, and often ignored. Men are far less likely than women to recognize, admit, or seek treatment for their depression. Additionally, men often reject the notion of taking an antidepressant and/or seeing a counselor thus often leaving them without any other formal treatment options to consider. Research is continually demonstrating that mild to moderate depression responds well to lifestyle changes such as routine exercise, appropriate sleep, increased socialization, balanced diet, and stress management. For men with more severe depression the use of an antidepressant, along with counseling, and lifestyle changes are critical. In order for a man to move beyond his depression, it is critical to use a multi-faceted approach. This approach incorporates the support of family, friends, community, the workplace, places of worship, recreational activities and lifestyle changes. It also requires peer-support, self-examination, and a pledge of personal accountability to be honest with himself about the behaviors, attitudes and activities he engages in that impair his ability to beat his depression.

Face of Today Foundation is a youth resource and support centre serving vulnerable youth in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, Grandview, Woodlands neighbourhoods. We acknowledge that the Face of Today resource centre is located on the traditional and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓ əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱ wú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ilw̓ ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples who have been stewards of this land from time immemorial. Our goal is to provide a safe space for youth to form a community. We partner with like-minded community members and after-school programs to provide valuable opportunities to the youth we serve. We align our programming around our core values, “C.A.R.E”, short for Community, Accountability, Resiliency & Empowerment.
